I miss the good old days of one game on Tuesday night, then everyone else on Wednesday night at 7 local time. The current Saturday schedule is atrocious. Upon leaving Coleman Coliseum last week I flipped on XM to find two more games almost to halftime, then that afternoon three more were going on simultaneously. If I recall, last year's schedule had games on at 12, 2, 4, 6 and 8 on Saturdays, with either two teams not playing or perhaps a Sunday game as well.
What's about to happen to us now is an abomination. We have played ONE GAME IN 12 DAYS. Yet here we go off to Fayetteville into a horrific winter storm, which is predicted to be bad enough to potentially strand us in Fayetteville over night, yet we have another game 38 hours after this one ends.
I also like how we are scheduled with Kentucky. Coming into the season we were considered one of the top three SEC teams with UT and UK. But UK must be protected, so what do we get? A three game homestand of Ole Miss/Auburn/UK on Thursday/Saturday/Tuesday. Really? The back end of a three game set in five days is Kentucky? That takes away almost all of our opportunity to prepare and recover from the previous two games.
I love money as much as the next guy but this schedule sucks.
