I hate watching our basketball team.

I remember a time when watching MSU basketball was enjoyable. Now, win or lose I can't take it. We may have the lowest basketball IQ of anytime I've ever seen. We have no idea when to make the extra pass, or how to run a fast break, or what is a good shot and what is a bad shot. This is bad basketball. Usually, a Stansbury coached team at least hustles and fights. We may have two guys who give it their all. With the expectations we had for this team, it makes me sick to watch them.

I've stopped caring about them. As I've said before, we are fundamentally awful. Your points are right on the money. They look like a rec team that was put together at the last minute and the coachis one of the parents selected from the bleachers because the real coach didn't show up.I've washed my hands of them. We 're not going to get past the first round of the NCAA tourney (if we make it), so what's the point?

Agree on pretty much all points, especially the low basketball IQ. It's been dropping steadily for about 3-years and I keep thinking it can't get worse but each year it has.

At some point Stans went from recruiting athletes that hustle to guys who's lone skill is shooting the 3. I have no idea why. Even the big recruit we lost (Scotty H) is basically Ravern 2.0 with a little more ballhandling skill but not quite as good a shooter.

watch the Rebs. The worst part for both of us is that we are far and away the two most talented teams in the West and arguably top 4 in the SEC.

I had this same conversation with my dad during the game. It is not fun at all to watch us play. We just do some of the stupidest things on the court that I have ever seen.

I don't know if it is IQ as much as it is individuals wanting to get their stats. Quite a few of the players on this "team" seem to be out for #1. Also, there seems to be no consequenses for someone coming down court and throwing up a 24ft jumper at a critical point in the game.
