[h=1]Football: got excited about 7-0 but should have known better…close games against questionable teams should have prepared me for the meltdown…..[/h][h=1]Basketball: wasn’t expecting much but didn’t expect 40 point home losses and a SWAC loss either….then a little gift beating ole miss floats in but that balloon gets popped by the current run they are on.. my hatred for them causes me sports pain when they are happy…I prefer them to be miserable like I am now[/h][h=1]Baseball: I’m expecting the same **** that football gave me…. I have no reason to expect otherwise based on what I’ve seen so far; too damn similar for comfort or optimism right now; if we lose the series at KY, that will be 3 straight weekends of futility and that’s about all I will need to know that the meltdown similar to what happened in football is on its way[/h][h=1]Now Tiger is on a run to add a few extra inches up my backside… I’m sure soon we’ll be seeing those tippy toes with the index finger pointing towards the cup as the ball rolls in; 18 media blowjobs per day to boot…[/h][h=1]Certainly some type of reach around can’t be too far distant in the future….or maybe just abandon all hope…such is the life of the maroon and white…[/h]
Sports just couldn’t suck anymore right now…that is all…

MSU fan party line right there. You don't have to try and fake it.....we all care a good bit about MSU sports or we wouldn't even be on this message board. Maybe our fans actually need to care a little more, donate more, etc. Alabama fans care about nothing but Alabama football....and they win championships. But I'll give you this....they don't get depressed when they lose....they get mad. And mfers get fired.

Tiger's having his own little mini-meltdown now ... bogeyed 2 in a row and looks like he'll bogey 18.

Thank you for making it abundantly clear that everyone can ignore anything you may say about this sport in the future. Please refrain from commenting further on it.

Basically this post summed up -- "I'm having a total sports meltdown because OM looked good in basketball today"

I donate a pretty good amount and go to as many sporting events as I can and we have football and basketball season tickets. What else would you like me to do?

Do you still feel we were under rated to start the season

Wouldn't get too excited bout what ole miss does in the tourney. They lose holloway and Buckner. Marshall win probably convince himself he's a lottery pick and leave. They'll be bad shape next year. I think we'll be better than them.

I'll admit the rant was way negative and prolly too long but ole miss's win had

nothing to do with my opinion on the baseball team so far...the only 2 quality opponents we've played so far took both series at our home park and we've struggled with our 2 SWAC games...

it smells to high heaven and reminds me of our football win streak to start the year ...I hope I'm wrong and we right this ship but if this team falters to me it's worse than football because our talent in baseball compares with the best in the country and the same cannot be said about football....yet..(hopefully) ...

I wished ole miss had their skulls crushed in today but if they had, my opinion on the baseball team year to date would still be the same

The 90s

I am just thankful that I was a young single man in the 90s. It allowed me a lot of freedom to enjoy what is the best all around sports decade for MSU ever. Bowl games, beating Alabama and giving them hell every other year, final four, sweet 16, CWS x3. Good times.

Once again proving that you do not know or understand the game of baseball... The CONTINUED comparisons to football? Absolutely ridiculous.

Am I going to have to post the 1985 schedule again? Lost to MC -- Obviously a TERRIBLE baseball team!!1!1 Why did #webelieve in those bastards??/?//?

Absolutely. At #15? No f'n doubt.

Do you still think Georgetown is going to win the tournament? LOL

I picked them to gain an advantage on everyone else in a large pool format. Obviously hurts my bracket. Did u submit one to the 6pack pool? Who's your champion. I bet my bracket still beats yours.

I woul personally like to take this moment to thank Cohen for not sacrificing in the 6th allowing for our big 5 run inning to seal the win. Special prizes awarded to Kentucky for their 2nd inning wasteful ****. Couldn't ask for a better coaching decision

Hey look on the bright side, the rest of the country thinks we just beat Wisconsin

They have to get beat first. Rebels are staring the Final Four in the face. LaSalle, Gonzaga then Ohio State. Ohio State got beat like 70-40 by Wisconsin earlier this year. You know as well as I do that Gonzaga is a paper tiger, they got beat by Illinois, who got beat twice by Wisconsin.

All I'm saying is, it can be done. They've got a fairly easy road in front of them, at least as far as NCAA tournaments go. It's certainly not Connecticut and Cincinnati back to back.

Osu also just beat Wisconsin to win big 10 tourney. I don't think ole miss makes it that far; but if they do, Aaron craft would be tough matchup for Marshall. Craft is very good defender. Of course, I thought they'd lose to Wisconsin. My main concern is us winning series with Kentucky though.

You just beat a Top Ten team on the road

I certainly have have not lost the tournament champion -- or even a final 4 or elite 8 team for that matter. I lost one Sweet16 team yesterday, so 15 of those 16 are still in play -- Georgetown being the one team that 17'd me in that regard(I seem to lose one Sweet16 team every single year in the first round regardless of how good my bracket looks overall). I've got Florida erasing them in the Elite 8 though...

The next two days will "tell the tale" -- because I've got Ole Miss, Wichita St, VCU, and UNC in the Sweet 16 -- so for this to "keep up" I'll have to hit on quite a few upsets today and tomorrow, although I feel pretty good about all those picks right now. I have Miami winning it all...

Doubt Craft is any better of a defender than anyone Florida has....and Henderson went off on them twice.

Think you're wrong. Craft is very good. Of course, Henderson will get shots bc of all the screens

Your bracket isn't going to beat much of anyone's. Sorry, but that's what happens when your champion loses in the 1st round.

I won my office pool last year with Duke as my champ. It's a disadvantage but not a death knell. We also use the Fibonacci system. Picking the champ shouldn't be rewarded the same as picking a perfect first round.

Your office is really, really dumb then... Nobody in the whole office picked UK? Or Kansas? Probably 10-15% of the people I know picked that championship game correctly including myself....

You will finish WAYYY below the 50th percentile -- probably closer to the 25th percentile on ESPN. It's inevitable given the PPR you've lost by losing a champion in round 1...
