Unless I'm sadly mistaken, he was born in Pennsylvania, raised in New Hampshire, and went to school and played football in Pennsylvania. The school is Ursinus, not far from Philadelphia. He has no real connection to Penn State, except that I've heard that his father went to school there, and that it's pretty much the big football school in that part of the country. I don't know if the allegiance extends into New England, but it probably does since there are no real football powers there.<div>
</div><div>The announcers on the game Saturday night also made another mistake. They said AD Scott Stricklin hired Mullen from Florida; we all know it was Greg Byrne, AD at the time and now at Arizona. Otherwise, I thought the announcers did a very good job with the game; they just didn't research their facts well. It's a little less excusable for the Clarion Ledger to get things wrong.</div>
