Having put the trip to Auburn and the LSU game in the rearview mirror, I still think we have a good shot at matching last year's record. I almost feel like our guys might play better with that chip on their shoulder now that they are out of the top 25 and many have given up on them.

Let's be realistic here. Mullen, like any coach, was blowing smoke up our *** with the talk about winning the SEC West. Winning the SEC West is tantamount to winning the national title. That was never going to happen and the sooner we accept that the more you will enjoy this season. We still have a solid SEC team that is going to beat the snot out of the lesser SEC teams on the schedule like Ole Miss, Georgia, and UK.

This is almost the exact same script we wrote for ourselves last year. Blowout Memphis, Close loss to Auburn, keep ourselves close against LSU but they pulled away at the end. We are going to face one more defense like LSU and that's Bama. That's the only 100% loss I see on our schedule.

With our secondary, we can hang with Arky, and I'm not impressed with SC just yet. They give up a ton of points and we get them at home. If we can win the next 3 which is very doable, we are 4-2 going into the game with SC with a decent chance to win.

Remember people, we haven't APPEARED in back to back bowl games since 1998-2000. Going to back to back bowl games is improvement. People need to quit being unrealistic about expectations. No one should have expected us to win more than 8 regular season games.

something along the same lines. I'm still think we will have a fine season and beat some mid-tier SEC teams this season. Ultimately, we just don't have the talent (yet) to beat the big boys in the SEC...but we have the coaching staff that will let us hang with them until the very end. I'm still mad as hell with the poor execution we had in the Auburn game at times and I'm still mad as hell about the way the LSU game ended but when you look at it objectively we are on the cusp of being good enough to beat the defending national champ and the #2 team in the nation (arguably the #1). Our program just needs to stay on target and build on this and recruit like demons!

I don't think it is out of the question that we will one day (within the next five years in my opinion) win the SECCG but I would rather us build a winning program than be a one and done team. Anyway, it's Saturday morning and looking forward to some more good SEC football. Have a cup of coffee, eat some breakfast....all will be well with the Bulldogs.

I see us with the same record as last year. No panic here; it's just freaking tough to play in the west.

Overall I'm with you, but let's not getcarried away here. To say we are going to beat the snot out of UGA in Athens is a stretch. We can win the game, but UGA isn't UM or UK. Come on now....

We beat LaTech, UAB, UK, UT-Martin, and OM.

We lose to Bama.

We winone of the USC, UGA, or ARK games and if we're lucky, we win two.
