I hope we can still make the tournament but...

I just don't care as a fan when we lose. The worst thing as a fan has set in - apathy and it takes a lot for me to not care.

And I do think the response you gave me was "I'll always care"

That being said, I don't blame you. It's impossible to care when the team itself seems not to.

Normally on a Saturday in the spring I am cooking most of the afternoon (when we have a later game of course) and then make sure to have my schedule cleared so that I can watch the game with no distractions. I look forward to a full belly of grilled meat and getting excited about our game, regardless of the outcome. Today, I didn't turn the game on until midway through the first half because I actually forgot what time it started. Sad.

you aren't a very good fan, because you must not like having a good program. </p> Sounds weird but it's true.

a tad over 10% of the time as a State fan. I consider that a a year to chalk up.

And I understand that you think Stansbury isn't good for the program.

Icognero, or whatever your name is, you have openly admitted to not knowing much about basketball. At least I think that was you. I want what's best for our program. Stansbury being here is not what's best for our program. If we don't get better after he's gone, wellthat means that wemade a bad hire. He is terrible. Sorry for wishing our program success. I guess I should root for us to win the SEC tourney and play terrible basketball and underachieve every year from now on.

Making the tournament will only help Stansbury keep his job for longer, and after 14 years it's obvious what his product will be every year...underachievement, embarrassment, and disappointment. It hurts to say this as a fan, but if it means that it is guaranteed Stansbury will not be the coach next year, then I'm actually for missing the tournament this year. The only way I want State to make the tournament is if State makes it to the Final Four or even better winning the National Championship, but with Stansbury as the coach I don't think that will ever happen.

I admit, I'm not the mostknowledgeableabout basketball, but when I made that statement, I meant from an X's and O's approach. But I don't care if it's Stansbury or Shaka Smart coaching this team, if State makes it to the NCAA's, I want us to win it all. You can't win it all without getting their first. That's the whole point of the comment.<div>
</div><div>I agree that in order for us to push forward as a program, I don't think it will be under Stans, but Jesus... I'm not going to root against the team just to see him gone. I've come close though, I'll admit...</div><div>
</div><div>ETA: And how the hell... do you misspell my handle when you replied to my post? Unless you're doing that just to sound like a smartass.</div>

but I hope that Scot Stricklin makes decisions based on what is bestfor our program and not what will make boosters the happiest or what makes the most sense on paper. The only chance for us to be a successful program is to get rid of Stansbury, not to keep him another year because he won a couple games that allowed him to coach another year. If I was a message board warrior like you, I would stay on here all night and make you look stupid, but Iam going tocontinueenjoying mySaturday night. So continue with your ill-informed posts if you wish.
