Given the overall vibe of the program. I could understand if we put together some semblance of a respectable performance of Clemson and possibly won, but it was a horrifically disastrous performance. Flat. Uninspired. Unmotivated. Players obviously checked out. On top of that, there was not one thing from the post-game pressers that offered any optimism. Even given the loss, maybe the players would come and portray an attitude of being thoroughly bought into what Beamer is selling. There was none of that. The players seemed as checked out in the presser as they played. Didn't hear a single player who sounded committed to the program. Even in a disappointing season, you can come away with some things to hang your hat on. "At least next year...." But there was nothing. We could lose all of our best players to the portal, will most likely lose at least some, and at least one openly admitted to looking around at other options.
If things go totally off the rails and White leaves (he's rumored to be in contention for CCU), is there anything at all to look forward to next season? It feels like the season would be lost before it even begins.
