Bama's rushing stats are incredibly surprising. I didn't watch the game with Colorado State so I have nothing to go on but the box score, but Bama had only 66 yards on 21 carries. 38 of that came on just one run. McCarron was sacked 3 times for -7 yards so that puts them at 17 carries for 45 yards.
Against V-Tech, they had 96 yards on 38 carries. 47 of that came on two runs, a 27 yarder and a 20 yarder. McCarron was also sacked 4 times for -23 yards. So that's 34 carries for for 72 yards.
They ran all over A&M with 234 yards and 6.3 ypc but A&M gave up over 300 to Rice at 6.0 ypc and 240 to Sam Houston St. at 5.7 ypc. SMU runs the air raid so they only ran it 17 times but they averaged 5.3 ypc against A&M.
I'm sure Yeldon will have a Heisman performance against Ole Miss though, despite our #3 ranked rush defense (in the SEC)
