If we hire Dooley, Gill, or Fulmer or Bower I am done with MSU football. I would rather have an OC or some guy at DII than any of these so called candidates. I have been following the dogs since I was 5, and the hiring of any of these clowns will lead me to belive the administration is not commented to winning. I would be ok with Bowden, but he is not what we are looking for.

It would just be plan E or F. I think Gill could be successful. Dooley, not so much.

I'm sure if they happened to start winning here you would stay done with MSU wouldnt you? I feel pretty sure byrne is committed to winning here or he would not have canned Croom

Not sure about him. Nebraska didn't want him, and he's a legend there. That makes me a little leery of him. Much better option than Dooley, though.

Nebraska didn't want him because he wasn't ready yet. He's ready now.

one winning season in the MAC means he is ready to take over an SEC program? He may end up being the greatest coach ever, but I think its still too early to make that call.

I'm not pushing him for the job, but what he's done at Buffalo is pretty impressive.</p>

however, he had a 2007 Croom-like season this year. Won 3 or 4 OT games and another one on a hail mary. If he can maintain for a couple more years, then I'd be sold.
