I saw that the Sporting News has the Dawgs ranked #10 in their preseason Top 25 poll. What's the latest on Sidney? They made a point in their MSU preview that Sidney would determine how far State goes this season.
still feeling like he will be cleared eventually. Other than the fact that they believe there has been no precedent to disallow eligibility on someone that they have nothing on, there seems to be absolutely no other reason to believe the NCAA will ever let him play.
They're not just gonna come out and say, "Dude, no way Sidney get's cleared. He's almost as dirty as I am. But we're gonna let him 17 around at practice 'n **** hoping for the NCAA to screw up a technicality and maybe we'll get him in here"
They're going to be as positive as possible to the end, because it looks good.
But they also know that they can't come out and say that. They have to act like there's absolutely no reason at all that he shouldn't be eventually cleared. Otherwise, they're basically admitting what we all know, which is that there's no way in hell Renardo Sidney is an amateur. The only thing that pisses me off about it is there are lots of non-amateurs that have (or still do) play NCAA basketball.
If he really didnt think he was going to qualify, Rick wouldnt be making such direct statements. He could say "we hope...", "were confident once the investigation concludes...", but he is being pretty bold.
i never thought he would play, but now that he pulled the card......well, it got a president elected and now it is going to get several controversial bills passed. Apparently it can't fail. Welcome to the team Renardo!
