when the game resumed late this afternoon since we're not going to play a 3rd game? Or did he pitch and I missed it?

who pitched for us today cause Bama just keep getting hit after hit and our defense cost us today as well as poor pitching.
Kinda say it was pretty interesting watching today, Ryan Powers as well as Grant Hogue hit two screamers but right at the 3rd baseman and ss, a step either way and we probably win the game today. We have no luck to go with no pitching which relates to poor baseball.

I think they fully intended to play the 3rd game today. They got a one hour suspension of the rule that says you can't start games after four on Sundays, so that tells me they were doing everything they could to get the last game in. Better to save Whitney just in case and let the bullpen limp through two innings rather than use Whitney for two innings and let the bullpen get decimated in the 3rd game. Its just a chance you gotta take. Sucks it didn't work out for us this time, but it was the right move.

....and that the SEC would not worry too much about teams seperated by less than 100 miles like MSU-umiss/MSU-bama.

Of course, bama has the worst highways in the world... maybe that, coupled with the rain, is why they cancelled the 3rd game.

The way our team has been playing, and as bad as our bullpen has been, the smart move would have been to use Whitney when we resumed game 2 and get one win this weekend. If we lose the nightcap, if it's even played, 20-1 that's still better than getting swept. Dumb move by Cohen. And even dumber when you consider that one of the two SEC caliber pitchers on our staff didn't even throw a pitch this weekend.
