Just kidding. Take it easy man. I love my Hispanic brothers, and Mexico Tipico. Manny was my favorite choice for DC from Day 1. Time to bring the heat.

satisfy the taste of a Cubano. We will need to correct that lack of facility with a real Cuban eatery. Pork, black beans, loose rice and roasted/grilled sandwiches. Far different fare from Mexican.

More attention to detail and quality of ingredients. More on the scale of European/Latin cuisine. Less of the melted cheese, casserole style of Tex Mex that passes for Mexican around here.

Sweet Peppers has a Cuban sandwich on their menu. Except it's not the classic Cuban as it has ham and turkey instead of ham and pork.</p>

I don't wanna be right, Hispanic or not. That white cheese sauce is a hellacious recruiting tool.

Too bad you can't find it anywhere in the south outside of Florida. A kind Cuban and Colombian befriended me the last time I was in South Florida and took me to a hole in the wall family owned Cuban joint. Try it once and you will wish you had never heard of Mexican food. Or, at the very least you will wish you could replace a dozen or so of the Mexican restaurants that you can find on any street corner with 1 decent Cuban place. Every town needs a Cuban option.
