He's destroying the program. There's just nothing else. He has been proving this for 6 years now. He sucks and his football is boring and predictable.
That's the biggest problem with Brown. For a coach that had a reputation of being an "offensive mind", he really has failed to show any innovation in the offensive side of the ball. All he likes doing is to put 5 guys in motion at once, do hurry-up offenses even though his defense sucks and could benefit from an offense that uses the clock,
Itās probably karma for not standing up for his DC Koenning who was the main ingredient of his success.
That decision involved way more than karma. It set a tone as to what kind of leader he is and his sense of loyalty to his coaches.
It taught those players that they ran the team.
I would argue they have not taken him seriously since that moment.
That was the first moment I thought the program was not in good hands. I continued to give him a chance over the next couple years. The final straw for me was his whining the schedule was too difficult and we shouldnāt play Penn State anymoreā¦and then ultimately his comment we should just enjoy the atmosphere and not worry about winning. After that, I was done with him.
