You wouldn't know the truth if it smacked you in the face. You probably never even been to morgantown. All you can do is make personal insults because that's all you have. You call me a liar because everyone knows you lie about being in the military. Isn't there a law against stolen valor? You're a total fraud man. And the biggest crybaby on the history of the internet. Trying to get people banned because you don't agree with them. Absolutely pathetic. Go take your spectrum and flip through the channels retard.

So now the the Big East was weak and easy?
Right. I could see the argument if we were in the SEC. But we are talking about a watered down Big 12. That said, I do enjoy the competitiveness of the conference. Other than geographically, it's a good fit IMO...

Which is why WVU should be competing for Big 12 title every year, IMO.

we're in the present not the past...if we had those schedules things would be different but, alas, those type of records will be extremely difficult to match no matter who the coach is.
What makes you believe those schedules would have a different outcome? We are losing all the games against quality competition. If they’re ranked, we’re spanked. That should be the Neal Brown motto. Brown only beats the 4-6 win programs and also loses to them occasionally as well. That’s because that’s our competition level now. We are that type of program. A middling .500 program.

because they were easier..we only had 7 conference teams to play

we aren't in the same space that we were then..high school players are now signing contracts for salaries to schools before they graduate..the signing dates are now useless due to the House v NCAA decision...

I think we’ve discussed this before, while that is true, WVU is not the only school dealing with this. Your point would make sense if they were the only school in the P4 living with this condition. Other similar programs are winning today. There’s no excuse for this. I get it, Brown is a nice guy. At some point we, collectively, need to reach a point of accepting this is not working out.

we haven't touched the surface of dealing with it yet..the decision came out a mere month ago..former players will also start getting paid by WVU in 2025....where is the 20 million coming from?

Idk. Where’s everyone else getting it? While tragic, it’s not just WVU. It’s every P4 school. You’re side stepping the real issue that Brown isn’t getting the job done and falsely trying to convince us this is a WVU problem. It’s an NCAA problem.

you don't see it...we are near the bottom of the NIL pile of money in the B12..Wren Baker said as much.. he's not a liar..look at the profiles of the starters just on UCF and see how many we offered and got turned down..getting outbid right and left...

If you believe we cannot compete with Iowa State and Kansas State, then shame on you for believing these excuses. I’m more inclined to ask why we don’t have the resources? Considering we have one of the biggest attendance of the BIG12, an equal share in the B12 revenue sharing, and ranked in the top 25-30 in donations. Seems to me we might have some fiscal mismanagement

two sports fund the rest..18 varsity sports..and no they aren't cutting any of them

West Virginia University administrators are navigating ongoing financial challenges, which they attribute to inflation, the pandemic and declining student enrollment. As a result, the University has implemented a series of budget cuts and a hiring freeze for all full-time and temporary positions.

Same for every other P4 school

I can't believe the weak mentality of some of this fan base. WVU has everything it needs to win and b a consistent top 25 team, competing for the Big 12 title year in and year out. The only thing it lacks is coaching. That's it. Anyone who thinks otherwise has no idea what they're talking about. What an embarrassment

Exactly. Listening to these whining excuses, you’d think we were Fairmont State attempting to contend in the B12 in our inaugural season at the P4 level. Or better yet, you’d think only WVU is hamstrung by the NIL, Transfer Portal, and this new 20 million dollar distribution to former players. I guess nobody else has to deal with this. Poor Neal Brown is just at an unfair disadvantage lol

I never thought I'd see the day that so many Mountaineer fans would pretty much throw in the towel on being a consistant top 25 team. Definitely have never seen a coach get this many excuses and passes either. Any school who is serious about winning would have fired him two years ago. The B12 of today isn't as tough as it was when we came in it. It's not like we're in the SEC or the Big 10. WVU should be right up there

I agree. There isn’t a school or program in the current B12 that is any better than those old Virginia Tech, Pitt, Louisville, Syracuse, and Boston College teams. In fact I think KState and Iowa State this year are very comparable. Yet here we are, looking like we could barely compete with those old Rutgers and Temple teams instead.

I agree totally. The Big East had some good teams back then. We lost the U but it stayed very solid until the final poaching. Brown sadly does have us down to the level of the old Rutgers and temple teams. He would be a better fit at a school like Temple. We need a real coach.

27 of top 30 NCAA Revenue and Expense teams are from SEC and BIG 10. The 3 who are not are UVA, FSU and Clemson. The top 12 teams are SEC and Big 10.

WVU is 45th / 7th out of 16 in Big 12

Yawn. Excuses are for losers. Brown and his clan are the biggest excuse makers I've seen in any sport ever.

Thanks, can you share the complete list breakdown?
The NCAA recorded nearly $1.3 billion in revenue for its 2023 fiscal year and ended the year with almost $565 million in net assets, the association’s new audited financial statement shows.

NCAA Finances: Revenue and Expenses by School

The money NCAA hauled in should be the money paid the players for each team. They're using the players as much if not more than the schools are.

So, using this information, WVU is 4th in the B12 and ranked 45th. Behind 35th Kansas, 39th Iowa State, and 41st Texas Tech. Thanks for sharing and supporting my argument. There are no excuses for WVU not to compete.

reasons are not excuses...hopefully we win out..Go Mountaineers!!

In this case the reasons are coaching. The other stuff are all excuses. Holgerson did better in a much tougher Big 12. Brown is a total dud. Winning out with this schedule should be a no brainer but for brown it's hard to tell how it will play out. We already lost the most meaningful games.

Let’s keep in mind, Arizona, ASU, Utah were not in the conference until this year. Neal Brown didn’t just start struggling this year. Also, Kansas State is below and probably the best program in the conference.

So Texas and OU should be counted as Big 12 since they were still in the conference then.

TCU a religious school..Boykin is in prison for beating his gf so badly that she had to have her jaw wired shut..
Must be why Holgs gave the kid a high five while he was kicking our butts.

TCU - Texas Christian University

Religious and Spiritual.

Just because you attend a religious school doesn't mean you're a believer or will not sin.

See Baylor treatment of female students.

We have an assistant coach recently fired that got drunk and beat his wife. We don't have any reason to judge another.
