I may have the solution.

Byrne should go to Crxxm and tell him that his offensive mind is too advanced for the college game. Of course, his rebuttal would be that "then I should not be in the college game then". Where Byrne would reply with "the college game needs you because you stand for what should be right about college football and it is time for you to set aside the OC role for the Head Coach role. That is what you have worked so many years for, to be a head coach." Now, I still believe right now that if Croom will put an end to his little side missions of getting his friends or minorities jobs and concentrate on building a program, he can do it. I might change my mind tomorrow, but today, I think he can. Now, somebody go tell Byrne to approach it this way. As a side note, I don't care if the entire staff is black or yellow (love to have norm chow) as long as we do some winning. Just make the best hire for MSU to win games and I'm completely happy.

You can't say that. Because you will be accused of being racist. Partially, of course.

or tell Croom how to coach the team, run the offense, etc.

If Byrne is unhappy with what's on the field, it is his job to do the firing and hiring.
