I hope he takes the title. Then retires and lets Auburn melt back into obscurity leaving Nate Oates and Tennessee looking stupid.
Main reason why I’m ok with Auburn winning it rather than Florida. One, Florida already has two natties. Two, Pearl is getting up there in age —- he won’t be around for that much longer as a top coach. Furthermore, he builds his roster in cycles.

Our fans would have worshiped him if he came here.

For those of you psychopaths who think everything is a slight against Pope, it's not. I'm just stating the fact that our fans can love Pope and they would have also loved Pearl.
I have never liked him and I certainly wouldn’t worship, love or like him if he was here. Everything about the guy is slimy. IMO

I’ll add that I kinda like the dude. We seem to have pretty similar values and outlook on politics and faith. Pearl isn’t a perfect person but I would have loved for him to be a Wildcat in a different reality. In this reality I’m happy with who we have.
Pearl would've made a great UK coach. Just wasn't going to happen with his history and with Barnhart at the helm. He has the energy to match our insanity.

I really hope no elite or prestigious program hires him. He’s potentially a winner at a school like that. Let him play his career out at Auburn, where whatever happens won’t matter a couple years after he’s gone.
He would have crushed it at a place like UCLA.

Now they chant SEC SEC S E C !!!

I wonder who was it that gave them the desire to win the basketball game ? Playing against God or Kentucky ? Cause I don't think even beating Alabama is a bigger game in basketball for Auburn. Especially if KENTUCKY is on your schedule. So, I don't know. Maybe someone can help me with that around here....

but as far as wild eyed brucie ... meh

can stay at Auburn as long as he wants to. It'd be alright to see them instead of dUKe win the title.

anyone but dUKe ....

please. anyone but puke.

that is all

I've seen several post game team interviews like this one in the tournament. They did one with UK after a game. The happiness and lightness of the interviews come off quite organic. You can feel the joy emanating from those young men. Not just the enemy anymore, but young men caught up in a one of the greatest experiences they will ever have. Well done CBS.

Pearl is an excellent coach wherever he has been. It would have been great to see him at UK but he knew what he had at Auburn, and Mitch had enough of controversial hires.

Seeing him on the UK sidelines or painted blue cheering in the student section would have been fantastic though.

That’s pretty cool
I would be okay with Bruce Pearl winning his first National Championship. Texas Tech and Houston would be fine by me too. I hate how Auburn's players acted in Rupp, though I love the passion Pearl has for the game with his energy. He is due one..

Two natties? Do you ever watch the Wendy's commercial? They would call them saucy nats.

I like him as a coach, I hope Auburn wins it all this year. I would have been fine if UK hired him but I’m happy with Pope as well.
