I missed the Shackleford CHEAP SHOT...

At the end of our first down play after Jameon's fair catch at the 7 :)45 sec left in first half), watch Shackleford throw a clothesline or two to Williams after the tackle as they lay on the ground.

He then proceeds to act like he is cramping or hurt or something getting up, obviously trying to cover it up. I say obvious, because the camera follows him as he gets up, trots toward the sideline with no limp, and motions to the sideline that he doesn't need a break. It's not a cramp, either, bc he makes no attempt to stretch (which every cramp sufferer does)

Just another UM cheap shot to add to the list. Someone more tech savvy than me can share a gif or screenshot.

I wouldn't normally care about this b/c it's just part of the game but they are going so crazy about Nickoe that I don't mind taking some screenshots...

After watching the Iron Bowl, the more and more I wish the extra curriculars would just be cut out. Cheap shots and excess **** really doesn't have any place, to me. It was pretty easy to see Alabama and Auburn both played with an incredible amount of passion, but they had a very business-like way they went about playing and handling themselves between plays... it made it incredible to watch. I wish we could do more of that. I speak for both State and OM.

I hate screenshot stuff too, but after the total uproar over Nickoe's love tap, I'm fine with. People need to learn that this happens in almost every football game- especially in-state rivalries. It's not a big deal at all and happens on both sides.

I will say, the UM grad assistant was over the line though when he grabbed Calhoun- you don't expect coaches to pull that ****.

Any one of these clowns that seems to think that Mississippi players could never play dirty need only remember one name. Bradley Sowell.

Are they still freaking out over Nickoe? WTH? I guess that is an easy distraction from the loss and the absolutely horrendous play of their starting QB next year.

Great to see DT doing his best Zach Mettenburger impression. I love the old drag yourself 5 yards like you've had your legs blown off then jump up and shake it off routine, never gets old.**

I don't see it. Certainly no more than what Nikoe did. He was part of the tackle and looked like he was getting up. Some guys I might would agree with you if it was borderline, but he's a pretty clean player.

I agree that he's a pretty clean player. I actually complimented him after the game.

However, the non-GIF version of it, it is pretty blatant that he was being malicious. Not something I'm gonna go crying on message boards about and calling people classless though.

Now your Polynesian grad assistant, on the other hand, that guy should be digging ditches.

Are you serious? So to you bumping a player's helmet to tell him something not very friendly is the same as taking a swing to the neck of an opposing player?

Looked to me like he fell on him as he was trying to get up. Certainly didn't hurt Williams and he didn't slam the head down like he would if he was doing it to injure him. Whatever. It doesn't matter at all, no matter what is said, neither of us is going to change our opinion, and I don't see the point in dragging on about one of the best student athletes in the SEC from an off-field standpoint.

Good gosh man. Just stop. Nobody tries to pick themselves up off the ground by violently swinging their arm like that.

It's only being mentioned here because of the way UM fans have characterized and chastised Nickoe Whitley, who is graduating with a master's degree, and has never been involved in off-the-field issues, so he must also be considered one of the best student athletes in the SEC. (Rabbit-punching and hedge-evacuation notwithstanding...).

If you really see it as you described, you should try viewing life without those red and blue blinders.

this is a point I wish people would emphasize about Nickoe.

People see the neck tats and the aggressive play but they don't realize the business-like way he carries himself in class and off the field.
