who doesn't have an all consuming hatred for Bama. I guess it's because I have never had an altercation with their fans the way I have with Ole Miss/LSU fans, but they just don't bother me.

Live near the Bama state line for almost 40 years and you will have a different perspective about the Alabama fan.

Thank God I moved.

There were multitudes of sidewalk Bama fans when I was a teenager in the late 70's. Enough to scar me for a lifetime.

we all hate Ole Miss, but then we either hate Bama or LSU. I think I'm like you- I hate LSU WAY worse than I hate Alabama.

I think for me it's the fact that I have family that are Alabama fans that actually went to school there.

And no, I don't particularly like Alabama- I laugh at the mullets and Joe Namath coasters and such- but for me, I definately hate LSU more.

I do think that in general though, more MSU fans hate Bama than LSU, and thus why it is a bigger rivalry.

Auburn fans are "nice", but they also tried to ban cowbells. I kind of view them as the nice neighbor than that turns you in for stealing cable. Of course, with the Cam Newton situation, there may be a little more hate than usual.

I just think Arkansas fans are stupid. I want to beat them because I hate ignorance.

Over 40 years of living in Bama country, enduring their outrageous slings and disdain against everything MSU, and having two ex-wives who are Bammers....I detest them.

That is all.

LSU is much easier and more fun to deal with than Bama fans. LSU ppl drink, eat, party, spend lots of money and tip very well. Bama fans are the complete opposite: bc we're in ms nothing is good enough for them. I mean the b*tch about everything. They suck, I hate them, and I dread every year we play bama at home.

My main reason for hating this is because Alabama being this good directly affects our program in a very negative way.

In a MS. Town thick with Bama fans and having lived I'm Alabama as well... I equally respect the Bama football program as much as I hate them and loathe their Walmart fanbase.

As part of the whole SEC dominance thing that's so much fun. But I just couldn't do it. Watching them on tv tonight, especially their fans, just made me sick. I generally hate LSU too, but I could pull for them without much of a problem when they played for the national championship a couple of years ago. But Bama joins UM as the only two schools in the SEC that I absolutely cannot pull for.

I'll put it this way: When LSU and Georgia played earlier this year, we referred to it as the "Stiff Bowl". We understand when A----n fans don't tip. They saved the money for Cecil...

I think all the toothless meth-heads you see online are amusing...but it doesn't make me hate Bama. I hate LSU and Arkansas way worse.

I wasn't pulling for or against them last night...didn't really care. I was fine with them winning.

Living on the MS/AL state line, I too see so many people that claim they are die-hard fans who have never step foot on the campus. I would ask some of these people who worked in my office why they didn't pull for some MS schools, not evening mentioning MSU. Usually the response.... 'I have always been a Bama fan.' I guess it's easy to pull for a winner but it still pisses me off that many would not even consider pulling for a school in your home state. For the one's that truly has some ties to the school, I generally don't have any problems with those.
