Hey guys, my name is Chad Gibbs, and I am writer living in Birmingham. My first book, a memoir titled The Chad Gibbs Debacle, is being published by Zondervan next Summer. I am currently working on my second book, a look at faith and fanaticism in the Southeastern Conference, and that's where I need your help.

I've set up a blog where you can tell me some of the things about MSU you'd liked to see featured in the book. Of course I want to know about gameday traditions, restaurants, and other things that are typically featured in books like this. But I'd also like to know about local churches or Christian organizations on campus that you are or were a part of during your days in Starkville. And even if you don't post, every click on the blog helps, because publishers love to see those site visit numbers.

I also need the perfect Bulldog fan to feature in the State chapter of my book. A person of faith, denomonation does not matter, who attends most if not all of the games. I'd like to spend the weekend with each fan, tailgating on Saturday, then going to worship with them on Sunday. If you've got someone in mind, please email me at [email protected]

I can't thank you guys enough for helping me out. And if you have some friends not on Six Pack Speaks who might be interested in the project, feel free to paste this post in an email to them, or just send them to the website, www.othergodsbeforeme.com

Thanks again and Go State!

Good luck with the project. As a Presbyterian, I believe that our football futility is predestined.

Thanks man, I'm excited about working on it. And just remember, one day the first will be last, and the last first. So you've got that to look forward to

Yeah, but don't we have to die for that to happen?

LOL, I think you're right. It does make death a little easier to swallow though, unless you are a Florida fan.

talking to me about State, especially basketball, would be best for your book

in regards to our football season was going to play out? I'm thinking it was Bulldog Backer. Jesus himself told him we were going to the Rosebowl one year. He should definitely talk to that guy.
