but at this point I don't give a flying F. This is lifted from a rival's recruiting site and simply MUST be exposed. It makes Croom's psychotic denial that anything is wrong that much more maddening. Byrne, damn it, do something!:

[Redacted name of rival] still has work to do with filling up spots at wide receiver in the class of 2009, and one of their long-standing targets is Tupelo athlete Chad Bumphis. Bumphis, 5-foot-11, 180 pounds, is a prototype slot receiver who could be a big-time compliment to [redacted's] stable of receivers. While it appeared Bumphis would be a tough pull out of the state for some time, it now appears [redacted] has worked its way towards the top of his list.

Assisting [redacted] with Bumphis, albeit unintentionally, is the offensive ineptitude of Mississippi State. While there are still individuals close to Bumphis who still want him to strongly consider the Bulldogs, it looks like [redacted] could now be the team to beat for his signature. Bumphis is having a dynamite senior season so far and his stock, which is already high, should continue to climb.

Let me guess, this was posted on the bama recruiting site...... However, they won't get him unless he has had a felony charge at some point in his past, cause that's usually caliber players they get. Screw Saban!

Ironic much? Croom misses practice last week and comes back "smiling" to visit Bumphis...and then the offense whom he is in charge of puts on that cluster<17>...
and *poof* he is gone.

Not that croom being at practice monday would of changed anything.
nothing will change till croom is gone.

I wonder if Saban has ever had a recruit fax in his LOI .... FROM THE F'N COUNTY PENAL FARM?

I hate posters that throw around the "at least we don't recruit thugs" ********. It's lame and fraudulent.

Damn, we're not even 6 months removed from the Bud Light car incident.

I do remember julio jones testifying in a capital murder trial, only shortly thereafter their team ecstacy and coke dealer gets taken down. That's just two off the top of my head. But you're right Shmuley, no way those guys are thugs.

There is nothing wrong with testifying in a murder case. If you are testifying because your buddy got shot and you were there as a witness, then you didn't do anything wrong. The Jimmy Johns thing was pretty bad, but if you'll remember, I'm pretty sure that he was one of Croom's big recruiting targets as well. It's not like Croom passed up on a chance to sign the coke dealer. He just lost the battle, sending Johns to sell his drugs in Tuscaloosa rather than Starkville.

The whole bit on whose players are bigger thugs is lame.

so not only is Captain Idiot here giving us the "our thugs are better than your thugs" bit (please reference the Six Pack Lexicon for "crimes"), but he completely screwed up his username. That makes me happy.
