It’s weird. State basketball has a lengthy history of beating who they’re supposed to beat, but then absolutely

And with Hubbard playing his worst game yet. The announcers of the game said we haven't beaten a top 25 on the road since Moses parted the Red Sea about 20 times. We’re pretty talented and very well coached. I’m hoping this team ends up in as a #3 - #6 seed. We’ve got a real chance to make the 2nd weekend of the NCAA tournament.

Jans is a good coach. He addressed the deficiencies in last years team. Basketball is just such an easy rebuild with the portal. Its about the opposite of football.

Let me tell you, that was a big win. They have a proud basketball program and history.

Also, their fans never admit it. But losing to the SEC and especially to State in basketball is a stick in their eye.

We're a Sweet 16 team. Making to the round do 32 is the minimum we should be happy with.
Im not sneaking anything im just remarking with five players in basketball you can add two key pieces and turn your team around as opposed to 22 in football generally not referring to our train wreck specifically.

Kinda helps than Jans has a lengthy history in JUCO basketball where you’re creating a new roster every year.
This was a HUGE road non-conference win vs a good team. Says a lot about our team to go into a very difficult place to play & win comfortably. This will pay dividends in our NCAA seeding.
No you are missing the point. Im not commenting on jans or lenny necessarily just numbers in general. Five vs twenty two. BB is much more portal

We won last week and still got put out of the poll. I wonder where we will land now.
They were lucky it was only 13. We quit playing with about 3 minutes left and they went on a 12-0 run. Should have been 20+.
We were a lot more than 13 points better. It was at their barn. The refs were in their pocket. Hubbard didn't have a good game by his standards. We had a 15-20 point lead for most of the game. We totally took them out of what they wanted to do. We beat the crap out of them.
Penny is lazy. His players play good defense but he adds nothing to the team. He looked high today.
I think he's feeling pressure this year because the NCAA is sniffing around again. I also think they have a helluva team. None of that matters because we went in there and took their lunch money today and made them like it. This is the second legit team that we've absolutely pantsed. I wish we'd TCBed against butler, but that happens sometimes.
He was right. We were significantly more points better. We were up 24 with about two minutes left and they went on an 11-0 run against the scrubs to make the score more respectable. The final score doesn’t do justice to how bit an arse kicking that was.
I predict they will underperform when it matters. Again. Good recruiter. But not a good coach.
The past couple of years with Tolu reminded me of State football with Will Rogers. Offense ran through them and we had to deal with the deficiencies they had. Both good college players but they limited us a bit.
I don't know but they got a LOI and then suddenly fired the entire assistant staff just before the start of the season
Being tired doesn’t really excuse the horrible cross court passes they kept trying to do. State was feasting on those in the first half.
