I really thought we would get whipped last night...

Just a solid win all the way around.

And if I am not mistaken, it seems like one game every year late in the season, Stansbury just says <17> it and plays the starters for a whole 2nd half.

And they played with lots of energy! They had that killer instinct look and played about as well as a "team" could play. When it's crunch time players good teams step it up, which we did and they didn't show any signs of fatigued!
It just amazes me the fans on this board who constantly knock Stans, I could care less who we play and what their rpi is, winning is the only thing that matters and he has done it better than anyone in our history.
Great game plan last night and a very good win last night. I'm proud of winning the west 4 years in a row.</p>

Maybe the best performance of the year. We played solid defense as usual but we also took the ball to the hole at almost every opportunity which really opened things up outside and then we made the outside shots. They made several runs at us and we never appeared to panic. Hopefully, we are peaking again at the right time.

I think he could have shot it from half court and it would have gone in. Bost played solid D on Downey holding him to just 12 points.

South Carolina coach, Darrin Horn, in his post game comments claimed his team played well. He marveled at Barry Stewart and mentioned specifically two shots in the first half that he could not believe. In addition to Stewart Horn said that they had no answer for the defensive tandem of Varnado and Augustus inside. He mentioned specifically Augustus' three point field goal at a critical point late in the game as an example of his team having given a great effort to force a three point shot late in the shot clock. On that play they sucessfullyprevented Bost, Johnson and Stewart from getting a shot, but Augustus nailed it instead.

If the Bulldogs can play that well or better in their remaining games, we will be hard out for every team we play. I hope that Bost and Varnado ironed out their differences, and it appeared they did before the game ended. Varnado was trying to exert a little senior leadership, and Bost did not receive it well.

Still again, winning the west is a good thing.
