I always have. I grew up when you all set the standard.

But I have a question for those on the board that continually pull the "young" card. If your young players are really good, shouldn't they be showing signs of it by now? The best players out of high school either go directly to the Majors or kill it in college fairly early. Baseball and basketball is different than football in that regard.

What's Senquez Golson batting, and what was Josh Laxer's ERA earlier this year?

Look at your players careers and where they were as freshmen and where they progressed to as their careers went along.

Are there freshmen that make an impact right away? Absolutely. But it's not the norm. Even those guys progress throughout their careers.

Don't forget- I saw an article about your team from around this time last year- and you were 24-20 at the time of this particular article when your team was younger. Sometimes the shoe is on the other foot.

As far as our players- we've seen glimpses from time to time- Brandon Woodruff no hitting South Alabama for six innings last week, Wes Rea hitting home runs last week, Hunter Renfroe coming up with clutch hits, CT Bradford has made many important plays over two years, Daryl Norris and Adam Frazier are both much improved than they were last year and both are well over .300, and we have several other freshmen pitchers that have pitched very well in general- such as Jacob Lindgren, Will Cox, and Trevor Fitts and not to mention Jonathan Holder. For them, it's simply a matter of them putting it together and continuing to make progress, which they are all doing.

Personally, our injuries have killed us much more than youth in my opinion.

Which, if I were you, would be a good strategy. You hyped your class out of your ***.

Now next year will be a different story. I expect a lot of our freshmen next year. That is, if we can get some of them on campus.

If you want a serious discussion I can do that too, and that's what I intend to do.

And when you are talking to me- that's your best strategy.

Now, that said- I used your players as an example because I assumed you were more familiar with your players and you could relate better to your players. I didn't put anybody down and I used facts. I'm sorry if I upset you by "hyping your(our) class out of your(my) ***."- which I find pretty funny because I would say about 90% of the time people ask me about our players simply wanting to know the depth chart, and I simply provide that info to them. Especially coming from a fan of a school that has been known to hype up a few football recruiting classes before in the past. (Oh wait- I know you've NEVER done that before- that's some other small minority of Ole Miss fans- wink, wink)

Our "young" players- your words not mine- aren't any different than young players at any other college across the country. If you're too stupid to see that, I can't help you.

But troll on- I believe I've feed you enough.

Well, dude is from nafoom, which should tell everyone a lot.

I'm an Ole Miss alum, don't post much, just read to see what's going on. Most teams get injuries, but sometimes you really get killed by the ones that you've had. State has not been very lucky in that regard, and has had to play freshmen who weren't going to see much if any playing time. You usually bring your freshmen along. We have one that starts because he earned it. The rest get some time on a fairly regular basis, depending on the situation.

Todd, dude is a definite troll. I've been on BBs.....mostly political.....for over 15 years and Moderate one of the largest ones on the internet. I know a troll when I seen one, and I've seen a lot! LOL!!

You have posteda lot about this year's freshman class. All I'm saying if they were as good as you thought you all would have won more games by now.

If you actually read anything I wrote, you would know that I didn't expect very many of the freshmen to contribute much this year.

But hey- keep the fantasy in your head alive!

First he does the- "Hey, I have a question for y'all because I really don't know"

Then you give him a rational answer and he attacks you.

So predictable.

What a *****.

For some reason I thought you had spoken well of this class. I must have been mistaken. You must have meant the nextclass.

I hope y'all are both still buzzed off Trustmark Park draft. Otherwise, we have quite the cripple fight on our hands.

And you really hurt my feelings with the Genespage comment.**

I'm not sure how I'll sleep tonight after that one.

It's always rich when Ole Miss fans tell State fans how to talk on their own board.

Todd, aren't you the guy doing a podcast with the ultimate troll, peaches? The guy who admits making stuff up to try to "stir the pot" on this board? Not sure you've got much room here.
