I say chalk this up as Bama is much better than us...

I realize 21 points is a big difference, and if we limit those mistakes we'd have different situations and the flow of the game is different and could in fact go our way, but even if we make those three tackles, Bama would have more than likely found different ways to score.
We're fairly two-dimensional, and Bama may be "down", but they're not so down to lose to a team that isn't a decent threat to pass. They're probably the best two loss team in the country, and there's a reason for that.
But, I'm hoping Russell does a little better. Bama's just better than us, I think that was clear before the game. Much more talent, obviously. We had to hope to really ride our emotion and use it positively and hope to limit mistakes and some breaks to go our way. I think that's the case next week, too, but I hope the home crowd plays some role in a better result.

I know Bama is a little better than Florida.....We weren't going to beat Bama barring a miracle, but they ran a couple of short plays that we gave them 100+ yards and 14 points on by simply not tackling...it wasn't because they did anything special. Make the plays and maybe it's 16-10 instead of 30-10....you'reone play from winning the <17>'n game.

Bama didn't burn us with the passing game. They burned us with by not letting Relf complete any meaningful passes, which kept our running game in check.
Bama didn't kill us with the passing game - even though they did break some big pass plays that were completed on the perimeter.
The biggest story was MSU = 3 points. MSU's offense was made completely ineffective because Relf couldn't complete squat. Nothing at all down field.

I agree with you as well.....I'm just saying our defense is pretty damn good. We don't let people go the length of the field on us, including Bama. We get lazy(and that's all it was), and we get 21 points put up in 3 plays. That's the difference in the game...
