The 1st Amendment provides protection against the government impeding upon others' rights to free speech. This is exactly what the first amendment is set out to accomplish; this is freedom of association and non-governmental speech. This speech is what was meant to be protected by the 1st Amendment--Trump shut the rally down by his own choice, has nothing whatsoever to do 1st Amendment protection. Read up on the constitution and applicable SC rulings and I'll entertain your thoughts. Until then, I'll be happy to enlighten you.

I've never called Dave "dumbdave". I think Dave actually offers a lot of intelligent information, certainly a more more than we get from from you and your ilk. Dave also will reply when asked with facts to back up what he comments on, unlike you when every time I have steered you into a corner you suddenly go braindead. When I hear the term "the dumbing down of America", you instantly come to mind.
Of course Dave is a major contributor of thought to the board. Too many times he leaves the empty suits with nothing to say but "racist, spelling, or grammar". Amazing what those who have nothing to offer to a discussion will actually offer something/anything to change the discussion. The most popular offerings from those who have nothing to say will call a name or make a personal attack. Of course you get those with even less to offer, so he has to copy what someone else uses. He can't even be original.
