That Byrne has Wilson in the bag, because he can make 7 times what he makes at OK, but GB is making sure that everyone of his top choices is a firm NO.
Its pretty obvious that Wilson wasn't his first choice, but Im sure he has a commitment from Wilson, but he is now making sure that none of the other Head Coaches, really want to make 2.5 million per year at an SEC school.
I would be shocked if this was Wilson stalling on MSU.

As I have said before...I never get inside info. Never. I try to never act like I do, but I happened upon some last week and like everyone else I was told it was Petersen. Now, I get this person on the phone again, and he tells me that Petersen is still in the mix.

Wilson is our coach. Greg Byrne is just doing some old ninja mind toture in an effort to increase Bulldog Club enrollment.
this search is going great...I've been told we have our guy and details are being worked out...PetersEn got cold feet, backed out...so be it...we're moving on and if it's Wilson, we couldnt have had a better coaching search...be patient, recruits arent going anywhere if we make the right hire...

It is Petersen. You dont accept twice and turn it down. The holdup is the assistants. GB will make sure that when he announces the hire, that the GIVE to the BulldogClub email will have alot of weight behind it.

THEN it is panic time. Until then, relax. I doubt we hired a firm to help us out in the search to look around for less than a week.
Based on everything that is good and right in human logic and rationality, please stop. I gave up my lingering wooliness about Petersen sometime on Sat. It was hard. If you had asked me to name my preferred list of coaches after the La Tech debacle, Petersen would have been in my top 3. On Friday, when I thought we were getting him, I felt euphoric, you know, like MSU was in a big-time BCS football conference or something. So, please stop.
