First thing: Bring our fences in to about 368 in both power alleys and gradually taper them towards each fair line from there.

Second thing: Go buy a dozen of those Swing Away apparatus that Bryce Harper trained on for years.

Third thing: Go to every JUCO in Texas and Florida and ask to watch guys hit against live pitching. If they can hit it further than 368 feet, sign em.

Pitching is good, defense is good but batting is bad. We have a lot of young guys that we are playing that we probably did not know was going to play. Hell many of them this time last year was in high school. There are some good high school pitchers but not likeyou see in D 1. We can see where we need work and I am positive the coaches see it as well. One off season with these guys concentrating on batting, they will be improved. I might be out on a limb as you say but things will improve. I just remember guys in the past who were Freshman and Sophomores who could not hit a basketball with a bat but end up being one of our leading hitter the next season. I am not a baseball guy and may not know what the hell I am saying, I am just saying.

And has been, but we've been lulled in to wins because of pitching.

I care more about wins than hitting, but once you start to lose, it's pretty easy
to see where to place blame.

Our hitting coach should be fired, whomever he is.

With our pitching, the absolute worst thing we could do is make our field smaller......
