Uh, the winning run got on with an error by the SS. He moved to 3rd on an error by the 3B on a bunt.

He was thrown out at the plate for the second out. Brown was the winning run.

Damn, you're right. Sad that 2 errors, an intentional walk, and a bases loaded walk when the batter never took the bat off his shoulder was one of our biggest offensive innings of the weekend. Still, in that situation, I think even Will James would agree that a bunt with a runner on 1st and no outs was the right call. I know I would. It's doing it in the middle of the game I have a problem with.

In the middle of the game, I can only accept bunting with a runner at first is when the batter has a low batting average.

Based on his post history, I don't think there is any way he'd agree to bunt there.

If you told him that if we had to bunt and it would guarantee a National Championship and not bunting would guarantee going back to Polk 2008 for 10 years, he wouldn't agree to bunt.

Bunting & John Cohen

I don't think there is any way he'd agree to bunt there.

Here is my simple philosophy ... Mississippi State hired John Cohen as HC ... Cohen likes to play the 'small Ball' game ... I don't get a 'vote' whether Cohen decides to bunt

I can either .. have acid reflux, drink a lot, & lose sleep ... or, I can simply relax and understand that Cohen is trying his best to win each and every game.

Cohen is a consummate competitor ... He hates to lose ANY game. I prefer his approach to Polk's ... "Well Jim, that's baseball" approach.
