I think Mangus could help Sellers...or could have

Not suggesting we hire him in a permanent role...I want the new OC to assemble his own staff....but he had some great success here as a QB coach and he currently coaches 9 minutes from WB. He's just 56, so still a good age. I find it hard to believe Sellers spontaneously regressed the way that he has. We all knew he needed to work on his passing coming into this year, but the way he was missing so badly last night was inexplicable. I don't wonder if Shula just wrecked him. His decision-making, pocket awareness, accuracy have all bottomed out.

Of course, I guess if Sellers is going in the draft, it's a moot point with only 3 games left.

Our best QB coach ever.
Regardless of the infamous 2015 season disaster, G.A was a solid OC earlier in his career when he coached DIv III.
But for some reason, he walked away from coaching. 🤔

Yep, best QB coach ever. Hands down. Heck, as much of a disaster as this season has been, just make him interim OC for the last 3 games. Got a bye week to get him installed. Screw continuity with the current system. The current system sucks.

And on a side note if you need tree removal on your Main Street he’s the guy.

It could be this morning and it wouldn't bother me. I'd rather have someone who pees on the street than one who takes dumps on our field like we've seen all season.

Nothing could be worse than what we've seen so far. Would at least make the last 3 games more interesting.

I was at a funeral shortly after that incident. There was one person between me and the then President of the university. That President told the guy next to me: "If it was you or me who did what he did, we would have been fired within 24 hours".

GA has been out of coaching for years

He is currently coaching at Brookland Cayce. Not college, but I'd bet my house that he would be an upgrade over Shula. I think it would be harder to find someone worse than Shula than to find someone better. Again, not suggesting him as a permanent solution. It's the offseason for him. Bring him in for the last few weeks, let him try to get Sellers a little sorted out. As noted above, he was the best QB coach we ever had.

Who cares. I just want to win. Who hasn’t relieved themselves in public before?
I don't care either. I just think it's funny that he basically got fired for that. I think he's a bit old, though, and the game may have passed him by... it might be like Shula 2.0

Good find!
G.A. was the OC at MTSU when Steve hired him away to work with his QBs. G.A. wouldn't even have to move.
But HS is a lot lighter work load than the SEC.

Oh yeah, for sure. I was just thinking, with how good the QBs were during his time here (for the most part), I'd be interested in seeing him come in for the last few weeks to work with Sellers. Not as OC (though that would make things more interesting). Just to try sorting Sellers out b/c I think Shula kind of wrecked him this season.

Garcia and DiMarco had Mangus on their tailgate podcast. It was like and hour and 20min, but it was really good! GA saiys that he really enjoys HS ball and enjoys the development aspect with high school kids. He didn't come right out and say it specifically, but he hinted that he wasn't interested in coaching in college again with the way it has become (re: NIL, transfers, entitlement).
