i know that's the big area of concern for everyone, along with OL of course.
but i think we may be okay, and here's why: kyle love and jessie bowman. if those 2 can stay healthy, we have two beefy guys in the middle that can plug the holes and stop the run. tim bailey may not be flashy or as talented as titus was, but he should at least be solid, given his experience. at the other end, well, maybe someone can step up. but i think 3 of the 4 starters will be solid. given our secondary, teams will surely try to pound us with the run. if we can keep 2 300-pounders healthy, it would be a good start. i always loved gilbert brown, and always wanted state to have someone similar. a huge noseguard who plugged the middle. (i miss toby golliday)
depth, of course, is a HUGE concern here. it would be nice if we had a few more guys who could rotate in, like last year. mcraney should be okay, so maybe a 3 man rotation for the 2 DT spots can work. at end, jimmie holmes should be decent enough to give bailey and the other end a breather. that would give us a 3 man rotation there too.
i'm not saying it will be a strong point, but maybe we'll be okay. i really like love and bowman in the middle.</p>
