I think Season 2 of True Detective was awesome...

at music choices, but good god that was an awful 8 hours of television. I don't really understand so much, and yet I have zero desire to figure it out. At least Colin Farrell was good.

When does Fargo start back :flush:

After the first one, I couldn't wait for the second season. I'm with you, it kinda seems all over the place and hard to follow. Too many subplots maybe.

Pretty disappointed.

Well they did manage to intertwine the 35 different sub-plots into an overarching singular plot. It's a damn shame it takes until the final seen to wrap it all up.

I get where they were going and what they tried to do. This one was not supposed to be a happy ending and rely on more of "True" aspect. I get that. While all of the actors gave outstanding individual performances, together they just didn't mesh well into a cohesive unit. I guess maybe that was the point on this one though. It wasn't like they were existing partners stumbling onto something. They were thrown together from 3 different agencies and had to work together.

Would have made a great book as I feel you could have got the detail down better. As a show, they needed another couple of episodes IMO instead of just cramming it all in on the last episode and half.

Yeah, it was just too much for only 8 episodes. With all the backstories and subplots it was like cramming 3 seasons of Lost into 8 episodes.
