I think Sidney should come to MSU for a few, non-biased reasons.

He should look at signing somewhere else after seeing what USC is losing to the draft, plus his team mate decommitted and went to Arizona. MSU could be a very good fit for him just from a supporting cast standpoint. This upcoming and the next season will be very deep and seasoned teams for RS even if JV goes pro. He can step in and play for a team that should get alot of media attention, be a contender for the WEST/SEC, and could make a solid run in the tourney, not to mention being very deep, athletic, long, and having the ability to play half court or either up tempo style ball. If JV comes back, I personally think we could be very, very good, but we are going to have some serious line up problems. Just not enough minutes to go around. The incoming freshmen would have to be redshirted, someone is going to be losing their scholly, and some talented ballers are going to have to adjust to coming off of the bench. Ravern and Kodi are going to have to learn how to play RS defense/rebound, and Romero is going to have to perform to his true potential. Dee, Phil, and Barry have proved themselves with Randy just needing to be a leader (please don't drive to the basket).

This could and would be the most talent that MSU has ever had on maybe any field much less a basketball court ever. For right now let's just hope that JV comes back

You guys should have a solid team next year. If you add Sidney, it'll be even better. However, if Sidney goes to USC, they'll be tough also. Alex Stepheson, a UNC transfer, is a 6'9" 240 lb shot blocker, great rebounder who would team up with Sidney down low. They also have Leonard Washington who kept them in the game vs. Mich St with his rebounding. SG/SF Dwight Lewis returns and SC signed top 60 recruit Oak Hill PG/SG Lamont Jones who originally committed to Louisville. He's a great scorer/penetrator. They also have PG Michael Gerrity who was one of the top players in the WCC his freshman year. Add in top 30 recruit, 6'7" SG/SF Noel Johnson and top 60 recruit 6'8" SF/PF Derrick Williams who can slash and score, and USC will have a tough team. Sidney would also be close to home. Interesting to see what transpires.

I think some USC fans don't realize that. His parents and both sets of grandparents are from Mississippi. His dad graduated from Northwest Rankin.

like Snead bailing on UF then UTexas.

I was just pointing out the fact that USC may not be who you are up against for him. If they won't let him in, they aren't competition. Is there anyone else in the running? Or is this a power play like Bo Tillman tried to do when OM wouldn't let him in and he visited UT?
