I think that this is definitely the reason we didn't get in...

I have no doubt that Sydney is the reason they left us out. I have not seen this mentioned, but it has to be.

people that ruled on the Sidney case and the people that picked the field, it just doesnt work for me.

Yes, I know they both are working for the NCAA, but the infractions and eligibility groups and the group of people that pick the field for the tournament just arent the same people.

the last four in and the first four out are ALWAYS subjective and the first four out are going to say they should have gotten in. It hurts us more this year because we had so many chances and never could close the deal. I was convinced we weren't a tournament team before the SEC tourney, so I'm not changing that now. It's not the potential of your team that counts, it's who wins the games. We need to stop thinking like Ole Miss fans.

**** Florida got snubbed the past two years. It happens to alot of teams, every year. If you want to ***** about something, ***** about the SEC referees who, in every sport, have been beyond terrible since Slive took over.

Of course, it was somewhat in jest, but he mentioned that he had known Stans for years...back to Austin Peay. While at AP, the NCAA tried to nail Stans, but found nothing substantial enough to get him. The radio guys theory is that the Sidney situation may have been some payback. To take it a step futher, he suggested that the Committee chair, AD from UCLA...a school that dropped Sidney, may have been part of the reason MSU got left out.

NCAA compliance / selection Committee----->out for Stans.
