I think the lib strategy to combat Trump is failing

He had the highest ratings of any show on Tuesday night during his SCOTUS appointment announcement. He can still draw an audience.

But more in his favor are all the demonstrations, almost daily, all the impeachment talk, all the negative press coverage (that Americans overwhelmingly don't trust), the riots as we saw last night and the constant bashing by Democrats will only turn Americans off to their message.

Most Americans by and large want to see the President succeed. This will simply anger them, Imo.

I'm sure that a few have some sort of strategy but much that you see is more grass roots and spontaneous. There are a lot of Americans that just don't like the man.

If this keeps up......Can you imagine what a disaster it will be for Dems in 2020. Surely they can't be this stupid.

I see it as less grass roots.......it is mostly organized. You guys would be better served by accenting positives about Democrat values instead of looking like sore losers. Turning further left is a losing play.

Regardless of spontaneity, large demonstrations are occurring almost nightly. Media coverage is overwhelmingly negative. Riots are shown frequently at these protests. Dems on TV routinely call for impeachment or say over the top things. All of these benefit Trump. It will only cause most Americans to provide support. He got the largest audience on tv Tuesday night to announce a SCOTUS nomination?

I think the Dem strategy needs to be rethought.

I don't think people combating Trump have a strategy. More and more I'm realizing that Trump's greatest strength is his ability to get people (for him or against him) to just REACT when he says or does something instead of thinking and strategizing.

Soros provided $90M for Trump protests. Not exactly grass roots.

Here is what America is seeing on tv every night. Hollywood libs blasting Trump. Media elite blasting Trump. Riots blasting Trump and wrecking havoc with violence, property damage, injuries, shooting, etc. Protest marches blasting Trump. Dems routinely blasting Trump. Nightly talk shows on tv (CNN, MSNBC) blasting Trump.

This all accrues to Trump's benefit.

Just make sure you pace yourself watching all that liberal boogeyman tv now, I hate it if you developed carpal tunnel and not be able to educate the world with your posts anymore.

If true then that would be part of an organized aspect and as the poster said below, feel free to back that up with a reference in a right wing blog please.

I opened the first one and it couldn't support that number but I don't think he's broken any laws by handing out money. Conservative backers like to give millions for commercials, etc. Both sides have rich backers.

I never said he was breaking the law. It is a free country and he could give money to anyone he wants. I was saying that the demonstrations are not necessarily spontaneous. Especially the liberal women's march, that one took a lot of funding. Again, not illegal at all. Please tell Soros to keep it up.

Be careful there know it all, don't act like Trump can't f this thing up....and here's the thing, if he does he takes down your Republican majority too. All this "liberals are the devil" bs helped him get elected, but now it's get it done or else.

Yes this is true moe, but you first started off by claiming the protests were "spontaneous". Clearly they are not.

Of course you and "patient, tolerant ,compassionate, considerate" Left will be cheering for him once he accomplishes his stated policy objectives?

Well Boom, you're right, Trump can definitely screw this up. If you have read any of my posts, you would know I am no fan of Trump as a person. I do like his policies at least those he announced. But his ego is such that even with good policies, he can really screw things up.

Libs are not the devil. I think this country needs two vibrant parties. I think the Dems have gone much too far left and the country is revolting. Hillary was 4 more years of Obama and the country said no, even with a horrible candidate like Trump opposing her.

Libs are becoming much less liberal. Just today, liberals on the board defended the riots last evening. Liberals defended the right to prevent a speaker from speaking on campus because some of those on campus don't like his message even suggesting the speaker find other places more accommodating. This is not liberalism. It is fascism.

I don't agree with your ideology. I don't agree with your anger and hatred of our country. I asked you to provide a country you prefer and admire. I have yet to see your response. I look forward to it.

I sense over the past week or so Boom is becoming very hate filled. This is a place to debate, fervently, but when hate fills you up, it's time to move on from the board. I love to dish it out and can take it, but I don't hate anyone that I disagree with.

PAX the real spear in their side will come later this year when Trump rolls out his "minority outreach to make America's inner cities great again."

To show you how smart Trump is, he's going into some of the worst districts run by Leftist Democrats to not only roll out his jobs and education initiatives, but he will also review all the promises made to Blacks who gave Democrats 95% their votes after they were told these issues would be fixed.

Trump will highlight the Left's failures, make his own promises, then ask Blacks to judge for themselves his efforts not after 50 years, but after only 4.

I'm telling you once he breaks through the lies, deceit, and outright failures of Leftist ideology with his pro growth, pro choice (schools) pro business agenda for the inner cities...the Left and the Democrat party they run will be left standing naked with their ugly flabby bodies exposed as the wrinkled up shriveled up aging anachronisms they are.

I can't wait to see it. Blacks abandoning the Democrat party like they boycotted lunch counters in the segregated South. (run by Democrats btw)

He's frustrated, and angry because you leave him and the rest of them not only filled with rage, but speechless over their inability to counter your assertions or destroy their false facts and failed ideology.

I'm laughing at how you always dismantle them with simple facts and logic. They can't handle it PAX, that's why all they can do is call you names.

Keep it up.

You debate. Atl just likes to feel superior with his Christianity. He called homosexuals deviants. Don't act like the two of you are the same. And I told you, I'm ashamed of many things in this country right now. Christian absolutism is one of them. Hatred of liberalism is another. Trump most certainly is one. But so is the disrespect many are showing towards the office of President.

atl defends Christianity against bigotry (he's never against anyone who doesn't believe, but is always willing to defend Faith) and yes Homosexuals are "deviant" because their behavior is abnormal.

As for "feeling" superior I doubt there is a bigger self appointed pontificate on the OT board than the OP.

I may have missed that but will look back through the threads and respond.
Found it:

Seriously-
I admire Sweden for their education.
The Swiss for their neutrality and peace
Ireland for their openness
UK for their desire to change and adapt
Spain for their focus on living not greed
Holland for their diversity in politics and focus on environment

Boom, can you tell me what more these countries have done for the world, in a positive sense, than the U.S.? How they made more people freer. How they advanced the causes of liberty, justice, individual rights, human rights, etc. How they did more to defeat the evils of Nazism and Communism? How they did more to lift people out of poverty?

I have been to every country you named and loved them all, but they are no where close to the U.S. in terms of positive impact on the world.

Many people consider homosexuality to be a choice and deviant. That is his right as a free thinking person. You can disagree, but if someone tries to deny him that right of thought, that is the opposite of liberalism, it's fascism.

Please define Christian absolutism? I am a Christian and I have only one thing that is absolute for me and that is the fact the Jesus is the Son of God and the savior of the world and that no one will come unto the Father except through him. We are all sinners Boom. I sin each and every day. I was born that way as are all humans. And the path to forgiveness and life, is through Christ. If that is absolutism, then I, too, am guilty.

I have already told you I don't hate liberalism. I think it is critical for our country to have two parties, two opposing ideologies. I also think the Dems have gone much too far to the left, so far so, they are leaving true liberalism behind. When you support riots suppressing free speech, that is not liberalism.

I may be wrong about this, but notice Boom, that not one of your liberal comrades has come to your defense when you bash this country as much as you have? Very telling.

At the very least own up to your constant belittling and detesting of liberal attitudes and positions on this board. You make a post every two minutes with something in it about how stupid libs are, or how Hollywood libs are make no the country look bad, or how funny it's going to be that lib policies are treated with mockery by the President. You've disrespected Obama many times, and proclaimed numerous times that this is a Christian nation.

Yet if I express my shame in my country's dedication to arms production and control of other country's political processes...you claim I hate my country.

If I think Christianity shouldn't dominate our laws, atl loves to identify the word creator in the declaration as a constitutional certainty that Christian morals should drive our law (you reach over a stroke him a couple times for that one).

Truth is....a lot of you on the right are lovers of liberty only....not you two....but there are some that simply want as few laws and taxes as possible to ensure a good life for Americans. But some of you....you do seek the repression of those Americans that do not think like you. Some are homophobic. Some are racist. Some are very very ignorant.

I always saw myself as a moderate. I voted Obama, I voted Romney....I would have voted Rubio. I get on here.....and man, between you, atl, and 2007...I RUN to the left. Don't fool yourself, you're no better than wvmade, you just come from the other side my friend. At least he doesn't act like he is tolerant of the opposition though.
