Cameron Lawrence and Louis Watson each had interceptions that they returned for touchdowns. On Watson’s, defensive coordinator Manny Diaz sprinted to the ball in the end zone, punted it up against the wall and screamed his approval at Watson.

Does anybody know if he will be in the press box or on the sideline. I would like to see him on the sideline myself.

I think two things really kept us from having a winning season:

1. The lack of a QB- Relf emerged after the UK game, but Lee continued to play, and he really hurt us. It made us one dimenisonal and turnover prone.

2. The lack of a good DC. Torbush had a scheme that did not take advantage of our biggest srength- our linebackers, and put a lot of pressure on the weakest part of our defense- the secondary. On top of that, he did not adjust well throughout the game, and at times he had a poor game plan.

But, I think Manny and Chris are going to make a huge difference for us, and our team this upcoming year. I think we are going to see more sacks, more turnovers, and I think we are going to have more energy on defense overall. I think we will see better gameplanning, and adjustments made throughout the game. And I also think that we will see more creativity.

said the thing he likes the most about diaz is that it seems like he'll let them use there athleticism and natural ability a little more. he said that diaz doesn't say much about gaps and areas he just preaches to get to the ball as fast as possible and to react to the ball. if our secondary can step up this year i think we can really take advantage of this and havea huge year on that side of the ball.

that could be a good thing. I certainly don't see how we could give up more big plays than we did last year though.

I was liking Manny Diaz from the day Torbush left. He's going to make a big difference in our defense this year.

Question for the more football knowledgeable person than I, With a react defense does that not set us up for big play against us through misdirection? What is the weakness of the defense? And yes the wool is getting thick!!!!

where Chris White missed two or three tackles in as many plays. Diaz ran onto the field screaming in the middle of practice. Got on his knees and put his hands to his face in a praying motion, and said, i mean yelled, "Chris, I pray that you Please make a tackle for me today!" It was pretty comical at the time and everyone that was watching was laughing pretty hard.

in 7-on-7, on the first day, the defense was moving all over the place and coming from everywhere. I can see where it'd be fun for a defensive guy.

Were these pick 6's in the afternoon session? Because nothing was said about pick 6's in thunderclap's morning report from yesterday.

Inquiring minds want to know.

Did he then drink a red bull and crush it against his head?

Never mind that Diaz can actually speak in coherent sentences and is a very smart guy.

is Coach O like. Difference being - he doesn't sound like a complete idiot when he speaks.

Seems to me Diaz is edging a little too close to ripping off his t-shirt territory and/or piggy back ride territory.

trying to compare every coach we get to O is just played out. Never mind it's not even a legit comparison. Give it up, dubmass.

like we have said before, you would rather be right than State do well and that's pretty sick.
