I thought Bruiser said they didn't copy off us?

Bruiser can spit out the **** in his mouth and say what he wants. I've heard Kellum many times refer to the crowd out in "the left field lounge" while calling a game in Oxford.

And yes, Cock Smoke, to reply to you in a locked thread earlier....... we DID invent watching games from the outfield where there were no bleachers.

I'd hate to offend you by having our fans watch a game from the outfield.

You're right. Sitting in the outfield with tents and chairs on terraces is a direct tribute to MSU and your trailers, decks, and other contraptions. About the only similarities between our outfield experience and yours are beer and the fact that some people may call ours a left field lounge on occasion since it doesn't have an official name.

"About the only similarities between our outfield experience and yours are beer" ... when your fans aren't bringing bottles of champagne to second games of Super Regionals. Please continue to do that by the way ... and have your PA announcer proclaim in the sixth inning, "Only nine more outs to Omaha."

That's what I heard from someone there. The guy was in hysterics, so he may have been hearing things ...

Just as much as you invented watching baseball from the outfield.
before MSU baseball, there was never a person that watched a baseball game from the outfield. More that we made it very popular and an experience all to itself.

The difference is we don't call tailgating "Grovin' or whatever ghey thing you come up with next, why y'all call your outfield thing the Left Field Lounge ... and then act like you are the first school to come up with it. We may not have invented watching a baseball game from the outfield, but we certainly did come up with the whole atmosphere associated with Left-Field Lounge -- organically by the way -- which y'all have tried to emulate by putting in concrete platforms and built-in grills.
