Rumor is that Cotton is trying to swap them and UT with the Outback Bowl, but Outback wants UT. I wouldnt be surprised to see the Cotton take Arkansas.

They want to make a big splash for the first Cotton Bowl in JerryWorld. It looks like it could be LSU/Nebraska if Nebraska loses to Texas.

The two year in a row thing makes sense. Outback probably has questions about how well Ole Miss would travel to their place, or wants the Tenn multitudes. Starting to sound like Ole Miss will go to Nashville, Memphis or Atlanta.

Every year fans kid themselves in thinking there is some kind of merit-based seeding to bowl games. There isn't. Its all about $$$ from ratings and fan support.

While not major factor, I'm sure the KKK is not helping the cause too.

yesterday giving us crap for saying Ole Miss would be treated just like the 7-5 teams because the two 1-AA wins?

is a hgher bowl can't take a team with two less wins than the next team in the pecking order. With a ton of seven win teams, they could potentially fall pretty far.

Chris Low said something today about the Cotton Bowl and Ole Miss and maybe the Outback and Cotton working out a deal to switch Ole Miss and Tennessee, but I can't see the Outback going for that. I think you might see the Cotton take Auburn or even Arkansas, and Ole Miss end up in the Peach.

The ACC Championship Game is going to affect the Peach Bowl as well. They won't match up GT and UGA or Clemson and South Carolina. I could also see the Peach taking Virginia Tech as well. I'm not sure that they would want to take GT again anyway- after losing to UGA and the ACC Champ Game- which would be the case if they were to possibly select them.

The Music City, Liberty, Indy, and maybe even the Birmingham Bowl all are just going to have to sort through the fallout.
