I was told that Jones was going to be in Starkville today to eat with Mullen and then go to the basketball game
I've gotten two different reports today saying it was at Mullen's house and now another saying Mullen is meeting in Houston

So obviously- I don't 17'ing know right now

At first glance, it appears people in maroon are really getting lied to- and a nuclear meltdown is on the horizon...but I'm going to see what happens the rest of the day- I suggest you do the same...if he doesnt go to the State game today and ends up back in Grenada Without the Lake then we have our answer.

Losing Jones in this signing class would be unacceptable

I was hearing the same. I'm not sure if Chris is lying to Paul Jones or Paul Jones made up quotes, but Chris was in Oxford last night. His plan was to go to Oxford, have his in-homes, and go to Starkville tonight.

Right. He shows up in Oxford at 2 am and leaves at 10 am. He was only "spotted" at a Chevron in Oxford. Makes sense.

Seriously, there were pictures of Chris Jones in Oxford last week, so if he was really there last night, someone should have gotten a picture. (And I'm not trying to be combative -- I would love to have it settled once and for all either way).

Also, what motive would Chris Jones have for lying to Paul Jones, and have his people lie to Gene, etc.? If he went, why wouldn't he say so? It's not a visit automatically means he's flipping, so he has no good reason to lie.

Both Yancy and Talty tweeted that Jones was staying in Oxford until Sunday. Obviously that's not happening. But Yancy sure as hell was quick to tweet out that Jones had left to visit with our coaches.

So do I believe Yancy and Talty who I think pretty clearly did NOT know fully what was going on, or do I believe Paul who talked with Jones. Paul isn't in the habit of making stuff up, but Yancy sure as hell is and Talty has the track record of tweeting things before confirming them, then never addressing them until bigger news distracts everyone. I think I'm sticking with Paul and Chris Jones who said he wasn't there.

why would a 17 year old kid play a basketball game that gets done late, drive a couple of hours to Oxford, get there at 2am , wake up , hang out for an hour or so then drive back home for a 10am meeting with our staff? deosnt make sense . Yancy is trolling dude

If yp has such good sources on jones, how come he didnt report that jones was in starkville all wednesday night?

I know that Chris Jones said he wasnt in Oxford- and if true- what has changed in the situation?

I said he is supposed to be at our game today- so yes, we have to let that play out

I'll be honest, I don't subscribe to Yancy nor do I like him anymore than people here do. I was told Chris Jones was on his way to Oxford around 11 by someone completely different and not affiliated with any recruiting websites.

Our game is at 4:30pm. If Bucky's in-home starts at 3:00, Chris Jones isn't going to be in Starkville for our basketball game.

A few days ago, Mullen was about to obtain Kang status and Jones was going to be your favorite player. Today, there's some conflicting info out there and you hint at us getting lied to. Fascinating stuff.
