There, I said it. There will be no one left on the Slytanic, not even David Murray.

well DerHuntr (though he has appeared to remain neutral so far) and drunkernhelldawg will be all over your *** b/c they fail to see that the only way for MSU to be able to fire Crxxm is for us to suck so bad that no one in the national media possibly spin it in a negative light against MSU.

I got quite the abuse after I bitched about us beating Vandy.

a sorry fan and a piece of s--t. If you are 12 years old, then you simply are immature.

that wanted to meet people outside of the M-Club prior to the game this week to "discuss" the program. (if it wasn't this mrob character then my bad).

also...i have not been neutral to any extent. i stated very clearly this week that i don't want us to get blown out. croom could use that as a lack of talent or execution. i want us to get beat by less than 4 points solely due to a ******** ingame mistake by croom. i want the blame to fall on his shoulders and for his dodging of it to be even more painfully obvious than it is now.

maybe you have me confused with someone else.

but it is similar to ESPN's lovefest with the man.

not seen since 2003. In other words, I really don't give a **** whether we win or lose. A very good friend of mine, who is one of the most die-hard State fans I know, and was solidly behind Croom in '04, '05 and '06 might not even be going to Homecoming this weekend. We have reached (yet another) low point, and a loss to MTSU would pretty much discourage all but the most wooly of sheep.

Speaking of low points...i waited or should i say, waded, through the entire Troy State game in 2001. I have earned the right to be pissed off. The talent excuse only goes so far, correctable incompetence and stubbornness, is inexecusable.

you sicken me. You would probably be right there with the freaking mother17ers who spit on American soldiers as the returned home from the war in Vietnam. You are probably the same group of people who say they support the troops, but not the war. Wanting a bunch of college football players who work their *** off that you call your team to lose is just despicable. People don't disrespect MSU because of our football team, they disrespect us for fans like you who suck. Croom is the problem. He needs to be fired. However, we all seem to forget that there are also kids on the team who want to win. Cheer for them you worthless piece of crap fan.

Driving to Starkvegas amid hailstorms, dodging tornadoes in the stands with dozens of loyal State fans, and then watching Eli lead Ole Miss to a victory over Bama in the alumni center afterwards...what a ****** day that was.

Like you, I've earned the right to be pissed. I tried the kool aid last year, but I won't be fooled aGAIN.

when you can point to a sporting event being the cause of the drunkest moment in your life. And not a joyous drunk, that I was not. I almost get a relapse hangover just thinking about it.

9/11 was a horrible day and my thoughts were filled with the fears of what was to come of the world and my family and children and the suffering of the families that lost loved ones on that day. However, I do specifically remember the thought crossing my mind that it was just MSU's luck that it had to happen right when we were supposed to be really coming up in the world of college football. I felt guilty thinking of such a trivial matter on such a terrible day, but I have to admit, it crossed my mind and once something enters your mind you can't get rid of it. Did anyone else think that or am I just sick?

had that thought and they're lying if they don't admit it.

Your stance on pulling for the team is the correct one, by the way.

...while saying I agree completely. And for the record, I was one of the first seven people in the student section that day.

Ole Miss defeating Alabama for the first time since 1988 didn't occur after the Troy State loss; it happened DURING the Troy State loss. Specifically, it was during the portion of the game where they kicked everybody out of the stadium because a good place for 26,000 people to be during a tornado is out in the open fleeing.

So we all got to go back to our apartments, or the alumni center, or wherever we went, to watch the end of the JP game and see Eli beat the Tide. (Remember, the JP game started at 11:30, and the untelevised Troy State homecoming game, per LT October Policy, would have started at 1:30 PM.) THEN, we got to wade back into Scott Field and watch our own team get beaten by Troy Damn State.

Also, John Michael Marlin missed an extra point in that game, the second of three he missed that year. He also had a stellar 8-16 FG percentage that year. Three of those misses would have provided enough points to have beaten SC and sent Kentucky and BYU to overtime. But I digress.
