Dirt-digging, mud-slinging, witch-trialing should not be tolerated. No football interviews for you!

to bring down MSU. He has chosen this moment to strike. Shame on all of you for trusting him.

other than constantly looking for the worst things to say in his reporting regarding State. I have never seen anything complimentary in what he says, unless the situation is such that he has no choice. And no, I dont think I am paranoid in saying this. To say that Sherrill attended practice and talked with the coaches and players would have been sufficient. To imply that an NCAA violation was involved was just showing his Rebel *** again. He is constantly calling Varnado's father about the NBA hoping that he will influence them to declare for the draft, although it is really a moot subject since Jarvis is not even on the list of players likely to get drafted in the second round, much less the first. I hope Veazey finds his way back to Oxford and stays there.

two years ago, there haven't been many positive things to write about.

he is just doing his job. Sherrill was there.

And he has written many positive articles.

During the final four games I remember the broadcaster saying how great the relationship with the previous successful coaches on all 4 teams were. They would talk all during the season, review film, come to practice, etc... so what's the freakin difference???? edit to add... then he added "it's great how they have kept the former great coaches involved it their past programs, says a lot about the current coaches"

I just thought it would be interesting to rock the world of message board people. Seriously though, I never, ever thought it would be such a noteworthy topic. I had posted under that name for about 8 years and was bored with it. Really innocent enough motive if you ask me.

probably right, having an arch rival as your beat writer tends to create paranoia..... love to see the situation if a state grad was doing the same in oxford. there would be a homicide..... but i digress.

i would like to know who started the story. did kv overhear someone talking about it, did someone inform him, or did he run for the rulebook? did the compliance dept proactively make a statement without being prompted? i doubt it. the kang has a unique effect on the rebels... did he finally bring out kvs true colors?

Veazey is to never be trusted. Some of you have fallen into his web and are seeing a side of him that will never be done if he was in Oxford. That would have been swept under the rug. But.... at good ole MSU, he finds NCAA sections to quote and takes cell phone photos of Coach Sherrill. You can say that ole Sleazey Veazey is alive and doing well.

I say all this because you don't see Houston Nutt's brother Danny being monitored on his actions while on the sideline during a football game. Where is ole Danny during a practice? Should we be asking where he is? I am not picking on the rebels; but bringing up a point about Veazey and his continuous motives around MSU.

although I will agree the Ole Miss beat writers never seem to have done as thorough a job. But he is doing what he's supposed to do. Find and report news. That's his job, not protecting State. Mullen's job is to protect State. He should close his practices.

I will agree that Ole Miss's beat guys never seem to have much bloodhound in them, but they just may be lazy. Who knows?

And yes Veasey has some bloodhound in him, as a good reporter should. That's why he went back to the Byran Building to check on the situation, as he said in his blog...........

<font size="2" face="georgia, palatino">"Soon after kickoff periods started, director of player personnel and high school relations Rockey Felker summoned him to a golf cart. He sat there talking to Felker <span style="font-style: italic; font-weight: bold;">until The Blog left to return to the Bryan Building for a few moments</span>.</font>"

So lay off the guy for doing his job and not being Gene Swindoll.

I don't have a problem with Brandt, but if you look at the quality of KV's articles and blog posts, they blow away Brandt's.

SERIOUS QUESTION

Do you think MSU would not have reported the incident (not saying they did) if KV had not written the article. I think they would have and this is all water under the bridge. Nothing will come of it.
