They lost 30 games in a row.

They are now on a 2 game winning streak.

Let that sink in

I heard the coach saying the right things after the game

I heard the players saying the right thing after the game

Never underestimate the power of a group of people who can put selfish desires aside because of the love they have for each other.

Good point. I am a firm believer that nobody stays on top forever or at the bottom. There are always going to be ebbs and flos.

Here in our area, we have two teams (one 1-A and one 3-A) who have suffered through extended losing streaks. One of them snapped theirs last year and at one point this season had a three-game win streak. They are even talking about possibly being a playoff team this year.

The other one has not yet gotten back on the winning track and it may not happen this year, but it will eventually.

On the other side of that coin, some teams succeed year after year but even those are going to have a down year occasionally. My team is fortunate enough to be on the upswing now and has been for quite a while, but it will all turn around one of these days. Maybe they will be nice enough to wait until I am gone before they fall apart!

Not only are they on a two game win streak but they played those two games in a 5 day stretch with only 3 rest days in between.

Its extremely rare to find the teams who are always up in most people's mind, where a 6-4 record is a terrible year. There are not many of those in the state. It all goes to the coaching. Because while the areas do indeed have talent, to have that success comes down to the level of coaching the players not as talented as others receive
