I was very disappointed in our LBs last night..

I get Hill is a beast at RB but there was ALOT of arm tackling last night. I get the feeling we've focused on speed/athleticism at LB, and it cost us last night. Not sure where McKinney disappeared to last night, but there were WAY too many runs up the middle for 10+ yards last night.

I was thinking the same. Given all of the hullabaloo about the strength of our LBs, they were absolutely quiet last night.

I agree that our LBs looked pedestrian last night, but there may not be a more balanced offense in the nation than LSU's. They've got two elite WRs, an elite RB, a great O-Line, and a QB who will most likely get a chance in the NFL.

The thing that amazes me about LSU, is that Beckham and Landry didn't drop anything. If the ball was thrown their way, they made the catch. And damn, did they make some circus grabs last night.

We had them crowding the line. It somewhat limits what they can do. The big problem that created last night was when one guy misses a tackle (see B. Brown on the first long TD run) its off to the races. Couple that with a safety that's not exactly known for his form tackling, and you get some game changing runs.

Other than the fourth quarter, I actually thought they played fairly well. As kired said, they were crowding the line and so that limits their ability to make plays in the pass game. Other than the two long touchdowns, LSU's run game was pretty quiet early in the game.

I think it's called 20-ISO. LB, meet FB.
