You know Darius Slay was a 2star. I'm telling you, this coaching staff's philosophy is to make sure they know every single player in the state of MS. Dan said he wanted to be in every single HS. He's sticking to what he said when he told us there was enough talent in this state to win. Hell Chris Jones was a 2 star when we first got him to commit. No body knew who he was. Just like Jon Banks who Croom found 25min from Starkville. To take us to an elite level, we need a few Chris Jone's per class, and that would take some branching out, and I think we are starting to do that. We're in Marlon Brown's top 3. We got that top DT in country from Baton Rouge to commit. Odds of him staying; I'm not sure, but it's a good start. I think we're starting to get on those guy's radars, and that's what you gotta do first. We're not selling the party like Ole Miss. We're selling working hard brings you success. To get the elite level guys to come because of that is going to take more winning. We'll be in 5 straight bowls after next year. It might be starting to happen.
I like Calhoun after I watched his film. I was totally okay signing him. I really wanted Devin Fosselman from years back too. It's a mystery knowing why he didn't pan out and left the team to me. Gabe Jackson was a beast on film as well, granted he was a two star. Wasn't hard to know see that Jamerson Love and Jameon Lewis were great on film either, and they were two starts.
Here's one for this year. Brandon Bryant. He's a 3 star, but this guy looks like an elite level player to me. For the two star of this class, Chris Rayford and Lashard Durr. They are 2 stars that are big, physical corners.
