as well, but at least Floyd Stadium looks like a college stadium. Ailett Stadium makes several high school fields I have seen look good.

in Texas and neither are you. How are the HS stadiums over in Mississippi?

Don't you all worry about Joe Aillet Stadium and it's size or what it looks like. What you all better concern yourselves with is how you are going to feel after getting your asses handed to you there.

Apparently what we have here are some jumped up SEC snobs who have nothing to be snobs about. Get over yourselves and come play some football, crybabies.

they moved the TN state high school championships their a few years ago from Vanderbilt. Floyd holds about 31,000 (which I expect to get when MSU comes up next year) and is nicer than Vandy's field, even though that doesn't take much. Middle has a good tailgating spot in their walnut grove and you can park close to the stadium for free. Its definitely not SEC football, but its not a bad place to watch a game.

Please I played HS ball at one of the best HS's in Texas (espn has us #1 right now) and our stadium is only 1/3 the size of Tech's. Most big 5A schools stadiums hold around 10k not over 30k.

For comparisons sake MTSU's stadium, while definitely newer has almost the same capacity as Aillet.

Our stadiums capacity is typical for a non-bcs program. Maybe if we could get revenue from LSU/UF/UGA like MSU we could afford to expand.

you know ya'll keep bringing up the "welfare" argument in this discussion when our expansions have been privately funded by donations and the Bulldog Club... Not the "welfare" that you say we have.

Funny you say that when the entire program has benefited for years from being in the SEC while contributing very little to the SEC revenue stream.

That's like LSU telling everyone how they run a self sufficient athletic dept. when the whole thing was built by the taxpayers of La. to begin with. Sure LSU is self sufficient NOW but how did they get that way??? Do you think you would be getting private donations for facility expansions if you were in the Sunbelt or MAC???

This just in, no one cares about your high school football stories.

Guess what bub, your still La Tech. That means 99% of America could give two ***** that you even exist. Just because you have a "typical non-bcs" stadium doesn't mean anyone will EVER respect you or the bums you cheer for. You stadium still sucks and I am pissed I have to waste gas money to watch us play there.

Tell all of your big time football reject players how many douche bag fans they have and I'm sure they will be fired up.

shaking in our boots about you. We are not a WAC team, and you are not Auburn. I can't wait myself cause we wont play a down and most likely neither will you. It still has a lot more to do with talent. If it was about wolf tickets you win.

concerned with anything about Louisiana Tech. To be honest, I am already looking ahead to the Auburn game. My preparation towards the Louisiana Tech game consists of how big of a "Ruston" I am going to take in my toilet during the middle of the 2nd quarter.

Why don't you dig up all the numbers on that and inform us. Find out exactly how many of "the taxpayer dollars" went to the athletic department, specifically to the football program.

What HS "story" did I tell. One of you rocket scientists said our stadiums capacity was smaller than a Texas HS stadium. I refuted that.

And the fact that you are in the SEC doesn't mean you are anything more than a pimple on the *** of Florida and LSU. You are a leech. Nothing more. Your a dumb blonde with big tits that gets screwed by a rich guy (LSU,UGA) and gets paid for it.

No argument from me. We benefit from being in the SEC. I say it's better to be a wealthy leech though.

I have no problem with that. It's just weak when you are dogging out other schools for what they don't have when you are sustained by what others give you.

Let me put it to you this way, when we play the more upper end BCS programs, there are never threads like this.(lsu is excluded from these comments) They are usually very respectful. In other words when we played Miami at home and they were coming off NC's they weren't whining. When we play Nebraska they don't talk smack. They've been there. They have skins on the wall. They don't need to.

Once aGAIN, you act like this is a bad thing and something we should be embarrassed about.

Ok...maybe not size wise. But your stadium looks more Bolivian national soccer stadium than Saturday's in the fall and college football.

And before you chime in, the pic below the football is the hoops arena for the school district. I believe Coach Kennedy would take that building over the **** we have in about two seconds.

to talk about stadium size. I am sure LSU, Florida, UGA, etc say the same thing about ours.

My main problem is our AD agreeing to go to La Tech. I know it's a sign of the times that the smaller schools in the BCS conferences might have to do a home and home with schools like La Tech but it still sucks.

Yes - we would. Middle Tennessee has raised revenue through ticket sales and donations to build a new athletic HOF, new baseball stadium, and they are adding a jumbotron to the Floyd stadium. FAU is building a new stadium, in part through public funds, but also through the selling of suites and donations. Western Kentucky will have a stadium ten times that of what you have due to donations as they make the jump to D-Ia. Troy has a small, but nice football stadium due to selling the naming rights and large donations from Movie Gallery.

Don't talk about the Sun Belt like you are better than them. You couldn't win the Belt in football, you couldn't win it in men's basketball, you couldn't win the Belt in baseball, and now even your women's basketball team couldn't win it. It really is pathetic that fans of a bottom feeding school in a conference with a bunch of Sun Belt rejects (NMSU, Idaho, and Utah St) use the SB as an example of futility when, in fact, many Belt programs have passed you by and there is nothing you can do about it.

If you're actually going to Ruston, I'd think twice about that. Bet they have nothing but portables at this dump.

We'd better get used to playing road games at smaller schools, because the economics of adding the 12th game are going to dicate that mid-level BCS conference teams are going to have to do that from time to time. Templeton's failure was in doing it on a home-and-home basis instead of a 2-for-1 basis and in doing it in two straight years. I expect in the future, we'll probably have to do it every 3 or 4 years though.

Just like you handed OM's asses to them last year? I have never seen a fan base so sure of a win based on nothing more than blind hope. I guess the first game of the year is the only game Tech fans can run their mouths about. After that it all goes downhill fast.

The Mississippi State University was founded in 1878, and Lousiana Tech was founded in 1894. That would make the Mississippi State University the ORIGINAL BULLDOGS.
