I am sort of stuck to the house caring for elderly parents. I didn’t go to the ‘thing’ Thursday, so I took the time to watch everything BOC today.

I like him. He is straightforward and articulate. He told me more about baseball in thirty minutes than I have heard coming out of Starkville in the past few years. If I was a high school prospect who needed some growing-up before I took on the world of pro baseball, I don’t think I could do better than him. I think we are going to be BAD TO THE DAWG BONE, sooner than later. He had the wisdom to keep Parker who would help him keep our ‘25 signees and those good rising sophomores.
Hail State!!

First of all, my heart goes out to you with your situation and dealing with elderly parents. Cherish every moment and remain patient. It is tough. Secondly, I feel good about MSU baseball right now.

I really think he’s going to be like no other coach we’ve ever seen in Starkville. This wasn’t a hime run hire. It was a grand slam hire.

I'm sure I'll regret this, but I honestly believe he'll stay 10 years+ until retirement and have us in Omaha every 2.5 years on average. Maybe every other year. Won't be surprised if he wins two Natty's in 10 years.

I've never been more excited about a coaching hire.

He'll be here longer than 10 years if he wins two titles in the next decade. That competitive drive won't just turn off after a decade like you described.

Only 2 Natty’s in the next 10 years, that would be a disappointment. ***********

Think of it as lowly scar hiring Don Staley and having to compromise 99% of their fan base’s core values…. Without having any of our fan base compromising any of their core values.

Just saying.

Cannizaro was a bunt single hire, and Lemonis was a bundt cake hire
Cannizaro was more like a terrible strike 3 swing and a miss on a 58 foot curve ball that ends up at the back stop, so he still got to 1st base. Then he almost gets picked off because he’s distracted by some cleavage in the 3rd row, so we had to pinch run with Henderson.
