I have come to the conclusion (not earth shattering) that the media has no idea how to deal with Trump. He is SO different than any other President. He is not scripted. He doesn't take from notes or a teleprompter. He is at times angry, boastful, attacking, mocking, funny, prideful, scornful, playful and just great, great tv. Mesmerizing is a word that I would use. Love him or hate him, you turn him on just to see what is going to happen next.
The media, after these "shows' think they are winning. They think he is so angry, attack oriented, mocking that it will turn off the people. I think they are mostly incorrect. The Trump haters will hate. The Trump core will love. And the Independents show they actually like his style.
So Morning Joe can mock him as does most of the media, but they approval and trust ratings are well below his. He is winning and they don't even have enough knowledge outside of their cloistered bubble (where he surely is losing) to realize just how wrong they are.
The media isn't a 4th branch of government, do they do have a role to play with the government. That's part of why we have the 1st Amendment.
I disagree. His goal is to openly point out their (media's) biased behavior and condemn and allow the people to decide. He is forcing them to react to him and not the other way around.
I posted earlier that the media in NYC and DC think they are winning this battle against Trump. They really believe they won yesterday's press conference. They live in a bubble. They may have won in DC and NYC but lost in most of the rest of the country.
I think the Trump base and most of the independents loved his performance. They don't like the media and they love a fighter.
He deligitimizes the media, the courts, anyone who acts against him. This way more basic than that.

You obviously haven't watched the news. I see fake stories all over the place. CNN is a disaster. Even Tapper is losing his ever loving mind. He was absolutely unhinged yesterday. Take a gander at how the media treated Obama vs. Trump. 91% of MSM coverage of Trump during general election was negative. The MSM deserves all the scorn they get.

I have long said they are corrupt. Not biased (unintentional slanting of the news). They pick the stories they want. They pick the story lines. The coverage of the ICE raids was a perfect example. Instead of telling the straight facts:
1. This was planned under Obama
2. This is consistent with previous ICE raids
3. The target are those illegals with felony records
Instead, they lie. They deceive. They show pictures with ICE agents and guns drawn. One MSM outlet even claimed that women and children were targeted.
