I will certainly take 2 out of 3.

Some close games, losinga 13 inning gamethen bouncing back to win the 2nd game. Rainout kind of messed things up, but overall I'm pretty happy. Hitting certainly is something we will have to look at, but I think our pitching did pretty well. I think our coaching staff will mix it up a lot over the next few weekend series and mix and match some guys.

Good series, and I think we took 2 out of 3 from a pretty decent team.

WSU is not the typical pushover you may expect some SEC teams to open with. They may not be Fullerton or TCU that UF and UM opened with, but they are a well put together club and taking 2 from them is big for us.

I think we're better than them and at home I would have liked to take 3, but 2 out of 3 this weekend isn't bad.

A sweep could have been disastrous, and losing the series could have hurt our confidence- and it certainly could have happened while we are still figuring some things out.

The PAC-12 is only behind the SEC and ACC. I would WSU is comparable to Tennessee or Kentucky in the SEC.

Ard and Derek Jones are two pretty good prospects for WSU.

This will look good on our resume in May.

Its really early. We should've swept, but I think all the Wazzu love is a little premature. Pac 12 is an strong conference so it will be interesting to see if they give anyone there fits. I was under the impression their pitching was supposed to be awful.

Having said that, I liked Britton at SS. Regardless of the errors, he is smooth. Liked slaughter as well.

Several balls he fielded took some really weird hops and with the ground being wet, I think he tried to do a little too much in some circumstances. I like Frazier at SS because his transfer and release seems to be a little bit more fluid than Britton... for now anyway. Britton's bat hurt us, though... I hope to see that improve. Their pitchers were attacking the hell out of him.

I agree. We should have swept them. I mean hell, we blew 2 or 3 chances in those latter innings with the bases loaded or guys on 2nd and 3rd. So, obviously our hitting needs to improve. Seemed like the top portion of our lineup struggled the most in the 1st game.

But looking ahead to this weekend, I fully expect a 4 game sweep. I just looked at what Kansas did over the weekend. And they struggled to score runs against weak opponents. Their pitching may be somewhat respectable tho, we'll see.
