They’ve always done it. It’s the humble MSU way. Jim was even worse.
You definitely don’t hear Ole Miss do it.
Well our own fans feed the other team, so what do you expect our announcing crew to do?
I don’t aspire to be like Ole Miss. I don’t have a problem with announcers recognizing good play by the opponents.
ETA: Didn’t mean to sound like an a$$hole. It just doesn’t bother me.

I can’t say that I hate em because I don’t know em, but I do get tired of Jim Ellis butchering the English language and rolling his r’s like a retired Spanish teacher.
I like Ben MacDonald a lot, but he was slobbering more over him yesterday than Bart & Charlie are.
