Meh. I doubt if 25 people outside Mississippi and the surrounding states could pick Andy out of a 10 man lineup.

True but it still has to be humiliating to be referred to over and over in that context although he has nobody to blame but himself. I would imagine he isn't watching much college baseball or at least not our games.

He's pretty fortunate in that the details of his "resignation" are never addressed.

Any word on how his complicit side piece is “suffering?”

Cann is probably too busy texting to have noticed. This is how I am picturing him.

Luckily for him, there’s a “Bounce Back” convention I’m sure he and his wife would be interested in attending

I wonder if his wife is still with him? She was about to have a baby when all this went down.

At least Cannizaro has stayed out of the public so as not to be more of a distraction to this team, unlike Freezecwas to their program.

“We’re very sorry. We’re going to get the penis...er...phone.....his penis....er...phone.... out of you.” Apparently his wife is in the phone. Can he listen to your nether.... er.... belly to answer?

That’s why if you’re going to do something stupid like this, you do it with someone who has just as much to lose as you. She didn’t have anywhere close to as much to lose as him.

He's probably still kicking himself for not being the coach who took a team to the CWS in only his 2nd year.

We don't know for sure. But you can bet that's what he's thinking right now. And if he had been fully engaged in coaching this team, I suspect they probably would be in the CWS this year.

He looks worse and worse the further the team gets. I wonder if he just stopped coaching and that’s why the team was so bad at the start of the season. I would love to be a fly on the wall if the players were talking about him.

The guy works out at the cheap club gym in town., daily.
Look for him tossing rocks into creek behind greenbrier.

We’ll never know, but I’m not sure he takes this team to Omaha. Adversity hardened them. Plus canny was asleep at the wheel.

If his face was permanently glued to his cellphone, would he have ever noticed the boys made it to Omaha?

Had he been locked in and focused from Day 1, he could’ve gotten this team to Omaha. Let’s not forget how great of a job he did with last year’s team. That bunch had some serious adversity, too.

Unfortunately he will forever be a “what if” for MSU baseball. I fully believe he was our guy for the next 15-20 years, but unfortunately he wasted a golden opportunity.

Seeing how well they've done without him and with Henderson at the helm makes me wonder how much he leaned on Henderson last year. Should he be credited with all of last year's success?

I think he knew what was coming at the beginning of the season. These kind of things aren't discovered and acted on in a day. Usually suspicion, followed by open secret, followed by concrete evidence, and finally termination. They probably had the goods on him before he boarded the bus to Hattiesburg. And I imagine his wife knew weeks before and that kind of crashing down of one's personal life will negatively impact one's job.

Ya know, we were 34-22 at the end of the regular season last year and Gary was 31-21 at the end of this regular season (took away the first 3 losses). All in all, not all that different, especially when you consider we had the lightest home schedule ever. It's hard to say with a straight face that we were some kind of powerhouse last year and it was a fluke this year. We had a fluky post-season last year also.
