but I'm sure more franchises/sports than cleveland have this problem. They say that lebron got whatever he wanted when he was in cleveland, and that was part of the reason they were so pissed when he left.

I have no doubt this is exactly what the dallas cowboys org is like, and Jason Garrett has no power. We only hire yes men. Our players are a bunch of cry babies, Jerrah is a blooming idiot as GM, and that is why we suck.

Product of our society now.

Certain people within organizations get special treatment, either based on merit or politics. And its nothing new or particular to the NBA.

You don't watch the NBA because Cleveland is a mess of an organization?

Seems a bit of an over reaction, but more power to ya I guess.

Cmon, you know what he means. I don't really enjoy the NBA that much other than to check up on players I like (Ellis, etc). But you can really tell there is a definite culture change in the NBA. It's a few elite players and then everybody else.

Stars and role players. How it was, how it is, how it always will be. Same goes for MLB, NFL, NHL, Premier League, and so on. Why exactly is it so damning to the NBA? And to use Cleveland as the example is laughable. They have been a joke of an organization for a long time that sucked and lucked into getting Lebron. They did nothing except watch him singlehandedly take that team to places they didn't deserve to be and then acted like they were stabbed in the back when he decided he was sick of it.

Completely agree that's why I hated everyone hating him for leaving(and you know me being a heat fan had nothing to do with me defending him at all***) because he was the team after he left that team had one of the worst of not the worst win percentage of all time

I don't watch the NFL because of the Raiders.** On a serious note, the guaranteed contracts don't help this behavior. I'd love to see the NBA adopt NFL-type contracts. I think it would help the league tremendously.

Star NBA players act more professionally now than they probably have since before the cocaine days (if even then). I'm sure there are exceptions, but for the most part, your 'problem' players now mainly stay out of legal trouble. You don't have lazy players with bad attitudes getting back to back huge contracts. Kobe (outside of one little incident in colorado), DUncan, Lebron, KD, Westbrook, Hibbert and George, Harden, Carmelo (outside of I think appearing in some questionable videos glorifying guns and getting revenge on snitches), Parker, Ginobli, Deng, both Gasols. What big stars are problem childs anymore? Maybe they have to be catered to, but generally they are work out warriors now (including the off season), but the big stars now seem to treat basketball like a profession and act accordingly.

I wouldn't say I over reacted. I am pointing to pretty much every pro sport. Simply pointed out the article after listening to Mike & Mike and for conversation. I'm not saying it's specific to basketball or the Cavs.

I'm saying they're mostly a bunch of spoiled brats that cry to ownership, and always get what they want. Far beyond cleveland, and the NBA. I even pointed at my NFL team, and their bullsh*t. The knicks is another example. The NBA is a **** show, full of quand17ery. Former players say the same thing....see gary payton.

I disagree that it has always been what you say below. See the NE Pats. That is how a pro org should be run, accountability.

But hey all is well in the NBA, I'm glad you enjoy it. I'd rather watch martha stewart cook**

That is basketball. Most teams rely upon two or three key players to be competitive, and its very difficult without some star players. I like the NBA, but another problem is the sheer number of games. There are too many.

Green is the reason there are so many games.
